Since our Zine workshop with Edinburgh College artist in residence Lewis Bissett, I've been using what visual material I have to throw together some rough ideas for Zines I might make in the future. The photograph I took of The National Monument has beautiful form, I love the lines and the shape of the structure from that perspective. Using stickers I bought from Rymans I am able to introduce text and numbers into my work.

Working on trying to finalise how I’ll put my wee part of the exhibition together….

I printed out all 230 of my photographs on cheap printer paper just to see how much room it would take up if I were to wallpaper the whole darkroom /camera obscura.

I definitely think I want to build the images around the aperture of the camera obscura itself rather than a straight wallpapering of the box. What do you think?

Some first attempts at screen printing… I’m not using any registration, so just eyeballing the second layers… I’m not so sure I like the ones with the text, but it was just a test, so that’s okay.

PS: The lines over my face in the prints of me are intentional. The halftone screen was made from a multiple exposure photograph that I took of myself in March.

I wanted to get a bit more footage from inside my camera obscura, but I was holding up the queue whenever I’d try. I suppose that’s a good thing though, eh? ❤️
