Any chance we could get a look into the mind of the Ambris? How do you do your commissions? One at a time. Sketch, line, color, done. Or in waves? Sketch all, line all, color all, finish all? Also, how many did you get and how many are left!

It’s complicated.

I basically do commissions in the order that I receive payment for. Unfortunately, that means when I take large batches all at once, people who paid relatively close to each other might have to wait an exaggerated difference for their commission. That is to say, is person B pays 24 hours after person A, person B might still have to wait a month later simply because of all the other commission payments I got the interim.

I try to finish one commission at a time, but since I get approvals on the WIP (always at least for the sketch phase) sometimes I’m left unable to progress on a commission until hear back from someone. That’s when I usually just start on the next commission in the queue, and I go back to the previous one whenever I eventually hear back. As such, I usually end up juggling 2 or 3 commissions at time, all the time--as I finish one I start working on another.

I honestly don’t remember how many commissions I picked up in the last month. It was at least 25. Currently though I have 17 commissions left in my queue.
