Unpopular opinion: I’ve never really liked to read Tolkien... Sure, I like the stories, the world building and the adaptations - but to actually read his works? Nah, too wordy and outdrawn... Today I started listening to the audiobook “The Hobbit”, and found the reason why I can’t read Tolkien, I have to listen to it. It’s the kind of tale that needs to be told, not read. Tre sanningar om mig och värsta boken

Idag åkte jag, min mamma och min syster in till stan för att fika och fönstershoppa lite. Vi började dagen med en god frukost frukost på Little London. Älskar baguetter.

Efter frukosten gick vi mätta och nöjda runt en stund i Nordstan och rörde oss sedan mot Vetenskapsfestivalen. Där dukade Göteborgs ungdomsbibliotekarier upp två långa bord med gratis böcker till ungdomar mellan 13 och 25 år.…

Would Douglas's ironic death not be falling in a vat of Talisker on a visit to the factory and drowning?

I wonder - does he visit the factory alone or is his demise witnessed by the crew? What if they go with Mr Birling who had set up a trap to kill his awful wife, and instead Douglas falls into it
