I think I just might really like Terminators. The Legionaries took me some time but these came out in pretty much one sitting. Just a straight build sure, but just because there’s nothing fancy doesn’t mean I don’t find them the coolest thing.

Took advantage of my day off and went to the Warhammer store in Glasgow. I wanted to treat myself after finishing my studies in work, and I also needed to pick up my Warhammer TV exclusive mini which had been sitting waiting since November 😂.
It was great to get back into the store and chat with the staff after such a long time away. I’d been keeping a close eye on the Warhammer Underworlds series, and ordered the Supply Drop from GW earlier in January. It was such a bargain, and got lucky and snagged the Nethermaze expansion AND the Rivals of Harrowdeep boxes for £55. (Four full war bands and accompanying cards for £55, take my money!!!)
I also picked up some Necromunda Hive Scum which I plan to convert into menials for my Genestealer Cult army. Finally, I got the Hexbane’s Hunters warband for Underworlds because they look awesome.
Can’t wait to get stuck into this lot after I finish my Artemia Pattern Hellhound tank!
Happy Hobbying

Built a new squad of Raptors to expand my options with them. I’ve had the box for a while but wasn’t sure what to do with them. I ended up deciding to go with versatility.
The Champion came out well. The Mutant arm is meant to fill in as any of the available weapon options (Power Fist, Chainsword, Power Weapon). Its mainly greenstuff over a wire armature with some spiky bits put in for some thorns or spurs. The arm was a bit of a pain to make if I’m honest but it came out in the end.
I also modernized my other squads to have acceptably legal loadouts. Now with the new squad I have 20 Raptors. Will I ever use all 20 in one game? Doubtful, but the option is there! And if I want I can field a big squad of just chainswords, or msu special weapon delivery systems.
Been building some Chaos Legionaries. With this I now have 2 full squads armed for melee. I really like how my Icon Bearer came out!
Reworked the loadout on a few of my Plague Marines. They’re not all optimal for the Take all the Free shit you can like its Power Level meta. But I like how I’ve got a consistent set I can swap around for a few squads in CSM or run em all out as their own Death Guard army.
Special attention to the melee guys because they got the sharp end of the “I wanna make something cool/unique with my spare bits” stick.
Just really happy with this Havoc Champion. I think he’s really cool for such a simple kitbash.
Havoc Squad Built! When you make them to the box specifications they come together like a breeze. But that makes an odd mix of 2 Ladcannons/Missile Launchers and 2 Autocannon/Heavy Bolters. So I self inflicted a bit of pain on myself and converted 2 with Legionary Squad weapons to have 2 of each anti personal weapon.
And to expand my options I got base extenders that let me both run normal Legionaries with Heavy Weapons as havocs as well as run at least one of each weapon I built as a squad weapon in something like a Kill Team game.
I don’t have much in the way further wisdom but this operative is more than happy to share some with his allies.

-Incursor Minelayer- Mentors
Though considered for a mission across the Rift to contact forces in the Imperium Nihilus, instead he was given the duty of delivering Primaris technology to Watch Station Anachron. Already acquainted with operating away from his chapter and working with advanced technology in such operations as his Chapter’s battles against The Eldar in the Golance War and the widespread operations against the Orks of Charadon, Ansem was a natural fit for the Deathwatch. Eventually undergoing the Rubicon procedure himself to better train his brothers in the function of this newly developed technology. Though his condescending demeanor often necessitates the intervention of Sgt Maro to ensure the lessons have the correct impact.
The build here had one interesting challenge where I had to adjust his arm carrying the mine so it wasn’t off the base or dragging on the ground. Since its designed for a different stance and slightly higher torso. Pretty simple to handle by angling it.
For painting it was pretty simple compared to most of the others. The chapter badge is all solid color blocks and the rest of the armor is standard. The mine was fun to paint though. I got some nice practice with contrast effects over metal. I also tried my washes to see if I had a good option for the silver Deathwatch arms but Agrax was too dirty and Anthonian camoshade looked like algae. So I’ve got some Nuln on the way to wrap those up. That’s all for today, lets get more colorful liquid talk in next time. See you then.
