I feel like in both s5 and s6 respectively, Spoke wanted something from Planet and the empire that he could never get from them. He...wanted them to be who Parrot was to him. He wanted them to "give" him what Parrot "gave" him during their time in past seasons team, but it's something nobody else could ever give him because nobody else is Parrot. Or maybe I'm just too obsessed with havocs, and it's not that deep. >_<

YES. no it is that deep. ahh im going to cry. Spoke misses Parrot dearly and is slowly facing the reality that nobody can ever be Parrot.

It's something I've been reflecting on a lot as new members are added and the iconic members of the past either leave or only long on three times a season.

Nobody is anybody else. And their absence is felt deeply and completely. We can't escape that nobody can fill the void that someone else leaves.

And yet the players keep hoping, wishing that the others were what they imagine they are. And none more than Spoke in this finale.

Bringing up exploits with the new owner, did he hope Minute would act like Parrot and let him exploit by his side while Parrot did his own content? All Spoke used to have to do was be excited about what Parrot was excited about, or present a content idea to Parrot and get him excited for it. And the two would go on grand adventures.

And you see that so much with Spoke in the convo with Zam too, the second he heard Zam wanted to keep spawn safe, he started caring about spawn. But then as he slowly realized it was a lot deeper than just an area to build in, his tone shifted and he got much more serious. Only then did he hype Zam up as being the hero of the server, that he believed in Zam. I wonder if before he hoped Zam would ask to join the team, and only at this point did he realize what Zam really needed was the reassurance that Spoke absolutely didn't want him on his team. And so he let Zam go.

In the havocs era, Parrot was always down for the chaos, he wouldn't break the rules himself, but he wouldn't stop Spoke from doing it, he even encouraged Spoke to break the rules in the first place at times. And the two would dance together, the chaos and the exploit god.

But not anymore. Mapicc believes the season ends the second a big exploit is revealed, he doesn't want to be involved if his only purpose is to watch someone else break the rules for him. Minute is diametrically opposed to exploits and would rather kill Spoke than play along for the game. Zam at least sees the story mode and understands they have a role to play and fills that role, but Spoke loves exploits and Zam hates them. Even they wouldn't work well in the long run. (if they end up teamed s7 and zam does exploit or pulls a parrot and just lets spoke exploit i am going to loose it)

Nobody is like Parrot. Not a soul.

Even s5 planet was like his avatar to be the world ender while spoke could not. He played the role of parrot, being owner and limited by that. But Planet never had it in him to be evil in the long run. Planet doesn't pull off long dastardly plots, he's more about the long devious plot that is lighthearted in the end. He would always fall back on changing the trajectory of another's life rather than place himself in the center of conflict where it all begins to feel too real, like they really hate each other.

Havocs never worried about others' opinions (ok, not true, and maybe that was part of parrot leaving, we will literally never know. And spoke needed his retirement to gain distance from the dastardliness he pulled in s4). In s4 they never cared about other's opinions. They just played the game for the love of the game. Anything for content.

I mean for goodness sake Parrot removed 4 of his echest slots for the challenge of it, didn't wear pants, was on 1 heart for a week and did a duel on 1 heart, moved wardens on 1 heart, got a pet with the hope someone would steal it, moved pangi's house into the air for the conflict, tried traps for the conflict, kept the tubbo hearts for the conflict, and basically did every other nerf and risk he could think of to instigate a challenge he could face just to see if he could. Adrenaline junkie in minecraft.

The only other member that is that unhinged in content is princezam. And honestly it's not that close. parrot was on a level nobody else dared go. Zam goes into situations knowing he'll die with a 10% chance to see if he can win anyway. Parrot made situations that were difficult to win, but were meant to be won. He just made the game harder for the fun of it.

It's a whimsy and intoxication that stole Spoke's heart.

Spoke's primary motivator is to do the impossible and that the most beautiful thing on lifesteal is when something grand happens. And with Parrot that was possible. But it hasn't been possible since.

I truly wonder where Spoke will go from here. my silly little heart thinks he will be more active next season, after all he said how he agreed with Mapicc that he didn't do enough to deserve to be the world ender. And if him and Zam team and Zam doesn't care about exploits, my goodness. What might happen from there. Probably not much lmao bc that is not a pvp team in the slightest they would just die. Then again nppp was not a pvp team either.

Squiddo matches Spoke's chaos, and she's gotten to a point where she is willing to be that chaos with just a little encouragement. But idk if they work well long term.

He's tried Ash many times, and they work well together, but the timezones kill them every time.

Mane would be Interesting. now that's a chaos matchup. But is it too chaotic. Mane seems like he wants to do what he has decided is the right thing to do and doesn't effectively embrace other's ideas as his own, unless he thinks it's the right play. Like i can see more conflict than synergy there. but i would love to be proven wrong.

But like I said, nobody will ever be Parrot.
