Happy Halloween!! Here’s something to sip on while the kids are out trick or treating: Folk Machine “The Small Hours“ Pinot Noir from the Vecino vineyard in Potter Valley, Mendocino, California. It's a 50/50 blend of Pommard and 115 clone, certified organic/biodynamic, goes through spontaneous fermentation with 70% whole cluster (some carbonic occurred as well), pressed into 10% new French before spontaneous malo fermentation occurred. The wine was left in the barrels for roughly 7-8 months on the fine lees until bottling. Only 400 cases produced. Aromas of black cherry, strawberry and forest floor with flavors of cherry, raspberry, pomegranate and cinnamon; finishing with terrific acidity and only 12.4% alcohol, drink up!
