hoe garden “Demhoe #1″ Review
High schoolers, hoe garden, joined forces after the 2014 Outskirts Louisville Festival, which features a series of Rockshops for young girls. Formerly known as “Sorry, Mom,”, the band underwent a lineup change when on of thier members went to college last year. This is their first demo and it is very “demo,” indeed. the recordings are rough, the sound playful and authentic, the talent real. Don’t let the words “high schoolers” fool you - mid-demo is a hard fast cover of The Runaways’ 1976 classic Cherry Bomb, which doesn’t sound young. We will see more of hoe garden around Lexington and Lousiville in the coming months and years, for sure.
