Hold Me Together

“Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll-are they not in your record?”

Psalm 56:8

  Sometimes you could be going through something and you may not understand it. You try your hardest to wrap your mind around it but it’s hard because your heart is feeling the weight of it. There is one thing you have vowed in your heart not to do:: Let go of God. (with His grip on you might be hard anyway but hey you think you could of let Him go so let’s roll with that lol)

  I find that we often think God only wants us to be focused on the work He was called us to and anything that tries to interfere or cause us to pause for a second is just dumb. So little hiccups along the way, little heartbreaks we quickly try and brush pass, with tears pouring out of our eyes we say, “God, don’t worry I won’t take  a day off for this, I’ll pull myself together and report for duty in the morning! No need to worry! There are souls out there that are more important than this thing that put a damper on my day."

  Ever so gently I can hear God say, “If this is important to you enough to cause those tears to fall from your eyes, it matters to me too. I am your Father not a distant boss or a militant sergeant demanding your service.”

  We make mistakes in our walk no matter how hard we try and walk perfectly, we trip and fall and hurt ourselves but never should we think that God is not capable of holding us together…never should we think He doesn’t care. We have to make the choice to stop believing a lie.

  So YES “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness….” Matthew 6:33 but if you need to take a moment to cry, go ahead! Dare I say it…”Jesus wept.” John 11:35
