Wow, it is September! Where did the time and summer go?! They say that this is the busiest time of year for photographers, well it is right? Prepare yourself now for the holiday season!
What I mean is the earlier the start the better! Start to think of holiday cards, mini's, events etc. Start to get the calendar ready to book. Let the clients know your offerings! After all if they don't know, how can they schedule you!?
Yes it is September, but even Fall mini's and Halloween mini's start to get booked around this time. Do not wait to start scheduling and getting promo's out. Take it first hand from me, the sooner the better. A lot of planning and expenses start to go into this! And with that being said you have to start to look for props and inspiration! Find a theme & stick to it!
In the past I have learned to not wait until the last minute. I waited one time to get a hay stack and get all these adorable fall mini's then burned myself out. It is good to make sure that the props are 'fresh' if you are using live things. However, be careful that your clients don't have allergies! I find that it is always best to get a fake Christmas tree too! You never know who might be allergic!
With all that being said - get to work! I have some great templates in the store for you for holiday mini templates, holiday cards (yes, already) etc. So get your orders in now to make up for the busiest time of the year!
