As a fast food worker... I feel like we should be paid time and a half for holidays since not only am I dealing with my usual daily stress, I'm dealing with an additional holiday stress.

The Liberal Democrats accused Johnson’s government of, among other things, a:

“…failure to set out measures to tackle poverty and inequality;

…failure to protect human rights or to strengthen the voice of citizens."

Fast-forward 12 months.

14.01.2021. evolvepolitics:

“EXPOSED JOHNSON’S PLAN TO DECIMATE WORKERS RIGHTS. SLASH HOLIDAY PAY ENTITLEMENTS, BIN REST BREAKS, AND FORCE LONGER HOURS ON WORKERS.”

Johnson has repeatedly pledged there would be no dilution or worsening of workers’ employment conditions. Yet according to a leak to the Financial Times, workers’ rights, previously protected under EU law, are to be torn up.

Rather than tackling the poverty and inequalities so glaringly exposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, he is expecting workers to put in longer hours for less pay.

This is what the Johnson Brexit is really all about – deregulation and the increase in profits this brings to his cronies and those bankrolling the Conservative Party.

We have been out of the EU just over two weeks and  have already seen food shortages in Northern Ireland, the scrapping of EU rules banning certain bee-killing pesticides, and now a proposed assault on workers' rights.

YES I'm getting paid 2 extra dollars per hour for the holidays starting today AND I'm actually getting hours this year. FUCK YEAH. IRRESPONSIBLE SPENDING HERE I COME!!!!!!!

Currently being paid time & a half to sit on my ass and cut off my split ends (my newest favorite past time... I keep finding more, I’m obsessed!). Periodically I get up to turn my patient or go to the bathroom. I can feel my ass getting flatter.
