A Lonely Hearts Club Holiday Chat: You’re Invited
I've seen posts from people offering support this holiday season to those whose family are unfriendly about their identity, or their lifestyle, or who are in some sort of closet for a variety of reasons, or who will have someone at the table who abused them.
These people are awesome. Thank you for what you do.
But what about those of us with no one?
Whose family is dead. Whose family is so abusive that we had to leave all of them. Whose family threw us out. Whose family is cut off from us for one reason or another, perhaps through immigration or war or whatever.
Let's have a little get-together for those of us with no family to go to this holiday. Let's hang out, and chat, and maybe play cards or share recipes, maybe even do a spot of magic, or drinking, or crying perchance, for those of you who are new to the club. I get it. We veterans are here for you. Or hell, maybe the vets need to cry a bit too. It’s hard being this hard all the time.
If you guys are interested, I'll be hosting a Rabb.it chat on December 25th at 6pm until 9pm EST at a minimum. We might go later if we’re feelin’ it. Given the focus of my blog, there will probably be a bit of a magical/witchy bent to it, but basically, if you see this and it applies to you, you're welcome.
Also, let me know if there’s anything in particular you’d like to watch.
Here's your link. (Knock on Dec 25 after 6pm and I’ll letcha in.)
Rules are simple. Don’t be a friggin’ douchebag. Don’t be judgey. Don’t be cruel. I will boot you, but only after I have hexed you.
S’it. Pretty simple, right?
Come chill in Germ's room. We have cookies. And gin. And screaming jars.
