Cake Batter Waffles are a fun and colorful twist on classic waffles. They're made with cake mix and rainbow sprinkles, giving them a sweet and festive flavor. Perfect for a special breakfast or brunch!
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups cake mix. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 large eggs. 1 1/2 cups milk. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles. Whipped cream and extra sprinkles for garnish optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions that came with your waffle iron to get it hot. To make the cake, put the cake mix, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and mix them together using a whisk. Put the eggs in a different bowl and beat them. Then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Combine well. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed. Don't mix it too much; a few lumps are fine. Add the rainbow sprinkles slowly. Cooking spray or oil that doesn't stick should be used to lightly grease the waffle iron. Make sure you don't put too much batter on the waffle iron; just enough to cover the waffle grid. Close the waffle iron and cook the waffles for the amount of time suggested by the manufacturer. Usually, this is between 3 and 5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp. Carefully take the waffles out of the iron and do it again with the rest of the batter. If you want, you can serve the cake batter waffles hot with whipped cream and extra sprinkles on top. Have fun!
