Let there be no recollection of how sounds of distress had drawn him to one of the castle’s portrait galleries, or how he had disturbed his Queen from crying out in her sleep. (Whether it was meant to be an intentional cat-nap amongst the quiet or not was unknown, although he was not surprised to hear she was not sleeping well.)

         The end of the world is a dark and scary place. While the dead roaming is definitely a dangerous thing, Beth has learned that by far the worst thing in this world is the people. While some could be good, could be a family, others were not to be trusted. These days earning trust is a much more intense endeavor; someone could literally die for you but still not be someone you could trust.

         This lack of trust is what keeps you alive. Even in the state she’s in she can understand that. When she’d awoken in Grady she’d been uncertain of them all, unsure what their motives were. They seemed nice enough on the surface, but she’d survived a gunshot wound to the head; one that had apparently taken place within their walls. They could not be trusted.

         So she broke out. Alone, nowhere to go. She doesn’t know where her family went or if they’re even alive, doesn’t know the fate that became of them. She knows, though, that she can’t linger on thoughts of the past. It’s too painful and too distracting; survival is unlikely if her head’s in the clouds.

         It was just a couple of hours ago that she escaped from Grady; empty-handed and unprepared. Along the way she’d found a pole, nothing overly useful but enough to protect herself. When she comes across another person she doesn’t bother trying to hide, instead just raises her head and announces herself. “Please don’t shoot me.” Spoken with an air of innocence that the girl no longer has. Perhaps the scars on her face make the innocence less believable, but she’s not about to give up the act. This act could be the difference between life and death. “I’ve already been shot once, don’t really wanna deal with that again.”

Okay so I have to personally THANK YOU for inspiring me to watch Jennifer's Body, because if it wasn't for this blog, I would have just written it off as a cheesy horror film and never watched it and now it has changed my life so thank you and I love you.
