March 11th Festivities

As you are probably aware, the original Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency book was written by Douglas Adams. What you may not know is that March 11th would have been his 66th birthday. Because of the great community we have it's shaping up to be a fantastic day full of Dirk Gently-related festivities! Here’s a quick overview:

- DGHDA Fandom Meetup. A digital fandom meetup to see who’s behind all your favorite blogs! On March 11th, just post a selfie, tell us about yourself and why you love Dirk Gently and tag your post with ‘#dghda meetup’. Click here for more info!  - Extra draw in the Holistic Raffle! Make sure to get your postcards in before March 11th at noon GMT for a chance to win this early bonus prize. Watch the @holisticraffle page for the prize announcement. The regular deadline for the other prizes continues to be March 31st. Click here for instructions on how to participate! - Nouncy Power Minute. Using this link you can send in a tweet. All tweets will be sent at the exact same moment on March 11th in order to make a lasting impression on Netflix!   - POWER HOUR! We’ve had a little break from these but we’re gearing up for a celebratory power hour on this day. As usual it will be two hours, from 7 - 9 PM GMT. Join us on Twitter using the hashtag #SaveDirkGently and tag @Netflix to let them know we want a third season!

HOLISTIC RAFFLE

As you might have noticed, the #SaveDirkGently campaign has launched [Project Postcard], a campaign to send postcards to Netflix in order to show how much we want a third season of Dirk Gently and how global our fandom truly is. 

But Netflix isn’t the only one who’ll be getting cool stuff in the mail. You  might be, too! If you enter the Holistic Raffle, that is. Want to know how? Read on!

Instructions

1. When you participate in Project Postcard, don’t forget to snap a picture of your (stamped!) postcard before you mail it. Make sure Netflix’ address is legible so that we know for sure your postcard is going to Netflix. 

2. Then, post the photo on Tumblr or Twitter with the hashtag #HolisticRaffle.

3. Copy the link to your post/tweet and send it to the Holistic Raffle tumblr or twitter account.   It is no longer necessary to send us a link to your entry! If you use the hashtag you will be entered automatically.

4. Congratulations! You now have one entry to the raffle. Want more entries? Send more postcards! Just follow the same steps. You get one entry for each postcard you send. 

5. The final deadline is March 31st and the winners will be chosen randomly in the first week of April. 

There will be a bonus draw on March 11th, Douglas Adams’ birthday. Make sure to get your entries in before then if you want to participate! 

The raffle is open worldwide! All postcards should go to the Netflix headquarters in the US.

I made some postcards today because I wanted to send my Wendimoor one, and since I could fit 4 on a sheet of paper I had some fun :) I’ll be dropping them in the mailbox when I leave work!
