HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BELOVED CHIMERA
I LOVE HER AHHHHH
so many ideas and such finite energy in my body . can the world just stop existing for a while put me in a room with the lotm novel, my sketchbook, pens and pencils, and some snacks I beg!!!!!!
Ok! This song is really good but IMAGINE AN ANIMATIC WITH ARTHUR AND JOHN!!!
(Malevolent spoilers)
It'd be mainly of seasons 1-3. Between John's status of being the King in yellow and Arthur's Cannibalism and general apathy/poor mental state in the Prison pits and majority of season 3, its perfect.
Theres something about both of them being fucked up but trying to be better together that tickles my brain. How both have done horrible things and severely hurt each other but they move forward and forgive each other because they don't really have a choice they share a body.
They have both been monsters in their own way but also so human as well!
I MEAN- I AM COMPLETELY NORMAL ABOUT THEM (Chewing on my cell bars)
Song/character analysis ahead because I cant make it myself but I can absolutely share my vision->
"Sometimes I envy the birds They get to be kissed by the sun and held by the wind They meet the raindrops before we do How untainted they are by the earth. I envy the birds, but then I remember that, with all that holy opportunity, they're hollow. Hollow bones, hollow heads, hollow hearts. They don't know what it's like to sneak out with a friend, an acquaintance, a lover. And taste the stars on their lips. The birds may touch heaven and fly with the angels But they don't know what it means to feel too much."
Something i wrote (late) for @two-bees-poetry Day 20: Hollow Bones
Nothing to add, just loved the song.
I've got sorrow in my marrow I've got thunder in my chest And I'm jealous of the sparrow The way he glides with no regrets If I could only empty out the water in my mind Maybe I would find a way to mend these wings and fly Oh, to let pain be light as a feather Oh, to be free as a rollin' stone Oh, to be brave in the cutthroat weather Let the river unfold Let it carry me home With hollow bones Hollow bones Hollow bones
“We are called hollow bones for our people and for anyone else we can help, and we are not supposed to seek power for our personal use and honor.”
~ Fools Crow, Lakota

"In order for us to use our power well, we must become a hollow bone. We must prepare ourselves to become a channel. Our channel must be clean before we can use our power well. We must be free of resentments, guilt, shame, anger, self pity and fear. If these things are in us, we cannot be hollow bones. These things block us from our power. The cleaner we are, the more power we move. We must become a hollow bone so the Creator can use us to do what he wants us to do.
My Creator, remove from me today all resentment, anger, fear, guilt and selfishness. Do not let my weaknesses stand in the way of my usefulness to You. Make me a hollow bone so Your power can flow through me."

Theropods and Hollow Bones
I saw a post going around a couple weeks ago talking about birds and their hollow bones, and wanted to jump onto that train too. Theropod dinosaurs (birds included) are defined by this trait. It often indicates an active lifestyle. The outer bone is often dense (and grows almost like tree-rings, as seen in the Tyrannosaurus rex pubis in the third image), with the inner area being hollow. This allowed them to have sturdy bones without becoming over-weighted.
The fossils above are all from the end Cretaceous - specifically the Hell Creek Formation. The first two belong to dromaeosaurids, and the third Tyrannosaurus rex.
