It hadn't sat well with her since she had woken up on New Years Day and although she had initially still been angry with what Holly had said to her, she also knew it had come from a retaliation from Lia's own anger. She and Holly knew each other so well, they knew exactly where to prod to make something hurt in an argument, even if the ones they had were few and far between.
Parking her car outside the main house on the ranch, Lia grabbed the things she had brought with her off the front seat before making her way to the front door. Knocking with her elbow as her hands were full with the bag of treats, the coffee cups and a small bunch of apology flowers, Lia took a step back and waited. She hadn't expected to need to start the New Year off apologising to one of her best friends, but there was no way she was going to let this go on any longer.
