Was born in Charleston and raised in Briar Ridge. She has one older brother.
Her parents were both very artistic and always encourage their children to explore the arts. Even as a child, Lia would sit and listen to her parents play their instruments for as long as they could be bothered to play them. When she was old enough, she started learning piano and then guitar and she then started to sing. It was clear from her teenage years that she had a beautiful voice and after singing the national anthem at a local football game, she knew she wanted to be a singer.
When she was 18, a friend of a friend invited a record label executive to an open mic night in town where Lia performed an original song. She was soon signed to the record label and moved to Nashville to immerse herself in her new life and career. Although her sound isn’t hugely country, she had enough of a twang that she started her career off in the genre.
After a couple of years, she moved to Los Angeles with her boyfriend which is where her career really took off. One of her songs was featured on a major television show and suddenly her songs were on the radio and social media, her streams were going up and people knew her name.
A few years and a couple of albums later, Lia feels like her career is at a tipping point. She knows everything she wants to say on her next album (hello break up songs) but has no idea how to get them onto paper.
She broke up with her boyfriend of eight years after she found him cheating on her with one of her friends and the heartbreak and betrayal is still something she is trying to work through. With her and her boyfriend’s public status, the news was leaked and it created a bit of a media scandal. (Yes, this is based on Scandavol).
She’s been back in town for around 6 months and is beginning to come back down to earth. She bought a townhouse in Beach front and dedicated herself to just taking a break from it all. Coming home has felt like she can breathe again and even though she knows the news about her life made it here and even with her record label tapping their watches on when she’s going to get something written for the new album, she is finally beginning to reconnect with the real Lia Lozano, and not the one that media knows.

She always includes Spanish songs on her albums and has released a solely Spanish album as well. Lia also speaks Turkish due to growing up close to Sahra Demir. Both girls learned the language of each other's heritage, they sometimes speak a blend of Turkish, Spanish and English.
Has a very low tolerance for pain and is a nightmare when she’s sick. If she steps on a lego, she will act like her foot nearly fell off. If she has a cold, it’s basically like having the plague.
