Wcsu: I'm on academic probation for this upcoming semester. Why? BECAUSE I WAS A PART OF THE FRESH START PROGRAM! For those of you who don't know what the fresh start program is, it's basically a fresh start where the school is suppose to clear your records of any bad grades but you keep your credits (you can only do this under certain circumstances.) I took a year off to a) get my anxiety under control and b) to make a little more money so I wasn't struggling as much. So I qualified for it, but! because WCSU didn't put my withdrawal form through at the same they put my leave of absence through I failed most of those classes. I emailed my advisor and he says that this is WCSU making sure I don't fuck up, so I have to YET AGAIN!! prove that I can be there to these twats. This isn't the first time they've pulled this bullshit on me, but that's another story.
My insurence: Recently, they (meaning the board of ed my mom works for) decided they need to switch up the type of insurance plan we have. So instead of a copay, we now have a deductible to pay, and we have a stupid ass debit card for doctor appointments and meds that only has a certain amount on it for THREE PEOPLE!!! It's me, my sis, and my mom and we all have to share a certain amount of money and once it's gone, thats it. Then everything is out of our pockets. This sucks because one of the doctors I go to every six months or so now has me on a time constraint. I can only be in with him for 15 minutes and anything over that it cost me almost double. They also cut a "deal" with cvs, that deal is a 10% discount. Some of my meds on that discount are $170-$320. Some fucking discount.
Money: GOD DO I HATE MONEY! WHY DOES EVERYTHING I NEED TO SURVIVE COST MONEY!!! I live at home with my grandparents and I do pay them rent, I don't mind it because they live off of their social security and it's just not enough. So that I don't mind, I pay a third of my phone bill and my credit card bill,again I don't mind cause I use my phone and the credit card is my responsibility. What kills me is how much I'm gonna have to pay for car insurance, close to $370 ON MY MOMS!! If I was to go on my own it's gonna cost even more cause I'm a new driver, I'm under 25, and i didn't go through drivers ed. Then once I get the damn thing insured I have to register it and then theres gas. So theres that. Then theres my meds, some of my meds I do pay outta pocket but it still gets stupidly expensive. I'll be paying for my books once school starts up again and that shit is expensive! I'm a biology major so things add up really fast, lab fees, supplies, books and then I have to pay for my parking permit. My financial aid should cover the lab fees, but everything else is on me. Thankfully, I don't eat much so food isn't too bad, and Sadie doesn't need to go to the vet for a while. Plus for school next year I'd really like to get a smaller laptop or netbook. I love my laptop but, it's 17in big (my friends call it the mini tv, and yes it does have a remote), it's about 5 lbs so its heavy to carry around on its own, but then I have textbooks that can be heavier, the fan on it is really loud so I feel like I'm disrupting the class when I have it on. Plus I do have other expenses, I'm work 20-25 hours a week for minimum wage and I'm barely scraping by.
