Doian Holmes

Doian is the third Holmes brother, the fourth Holmes sibling.

Doian is Sherlock's twin, Only semi identical. If you don't know them well or just don't look, you can confuse them.

Doian is the most normal of the Holmes siblings, as normal as they can get.

Doian has to deal with his sibling's craziness. All the ups and downs. Everything.

Doian is always worrying about his family. He doesn't ever want anything to happen to any of them. He's scared for them, all of them.

He needs them.

Watson and Holmes

A/N: This came to me the other day, and it was after the shortest conversation with @whispersandwhiskerburn​ - so this is for you. Also, I don’t know how everyone likes to read their dialogue, and normally in a fic, I’d bunch it all up, but I’ve spaced it so it’s not as overwhelming. Thank you to @wi-deangirl77 for reading over this for me! Warnings: dialogue Characters: John Watson, Sherlock Holmes, Mrs Hudson & OC Hephzebah Holmes (the youngest Holmes). Word Count: 498 Summary: Sherlock’s being a tick git and Hephzebah thinks it’s funny.

“Hephzebah!” Sherlock called through the house.

“Excuse me will you, Mrs Hudson?” I asked, putting my teacup down on the saucer.

“Of course dear, good luck.” Mrs Hudson said.

“Sherlie?” I called back, matching his childish demand.

“You know I loathe that name.” I heard him say as I took the stairs two at a time.

“And you know I go by Effie,” I countered as soon as I arrived in his lounge.

“Guys can we just-” John tried to interfere.

“Ridiculous, our parents gave you a name, I don’t understand why you won’t-”

“What is it, Sherlock?” I sighed, interrupting him to get him back in course.

“Tell John he’s being ridiculous.” Sherlock stated.

“About what?” I asked, looking to John who’d started shaking his head.

“I won’t interrogate her.” Sherlock said, still cryptic.

“Her who?” I frowned at John who’d let his head fall into his hands.

“The woman he’s sleeping with.” Sherlock said as if I should know.

“And has John even agreed to introducing you to her?” I asked.

“You know her?” Sherlock deduced.

“Quite well.” I said, “Doesn’t mean you should.”

“Tell me, is she taller than him?” Sherlock questioned, tucking his phone into his pocket, invested in questioning.

Being the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft had given me some time to perfect the poker face and acting. Standing silently can give things away, but smiling annoyed Sherlock even when I was a baby.

“She is… not?” Sherlock tried.

“She was the same height as him the last I saw them together, she has freckles, hazel eyes, brownish hair, a mix of red after years of dying, athletic build…” I paused, looking towards John who was staring on, eyes roaming. Sherlock waved his hand for me to go on, the fingers of his other hand massaging his temples. “I’d say she’s younger than him - he’s entitled to a bit of fun,”

“Oi!” John tried to defend, much to our amusement.

“Whatever keeps you young, next!” Sherlock said flippantly. John let out a loud sigh and shook his head.

“She’s smart, and I think that’s what drew John to her, reminds him of you a little?”

“Don’t buy it, next!”

“I don’t look for Sherlock in women.” John tried again.

“She’s… perfect,” I said with a shrug, “John couldn’t do better even if he tried. If he lets this one go, he’s a fool.” I said, looking directly at John, giving him a wink.

“Molly?” Sherlock asked after a moment, “No, not John’s height.”

“See you tonight,” I said to John as he stared, gobsmacked.

“Right, yeah, see you then.” John managed as Effie disappeared back downstairs.

“An…” Sherlock clicked his fingers, “Works for Mycroft, what’s her name?”

“Anthea?” John asked, settling into his armchair.

“Yes!” Sherlock whirled around to John, a winning smile on his face.

“No.” John said, pulling his laptop onto his lap to start the latest blog; Watson and Holmes.

Write a scene without any dialogue

Words: 350 (1 to 3 minutes)

Min was okay with quiet. Some people found that weird. Even unsettling. Once, someone on a group project told her that she seemed like she'd snap any day now.

By the time she got to the Holmes Institute on a merit scholarship, she expected everyone to be afraid. It gave her more time to sew. Could be worse.

Min lived one state over, so she arrived ahead of most other students the first year. It gave her even more time to herself before the rest of the students got there. She heard some footsteps around the old residential building, maybe other kids like her or staff getting ready for the year.

But she had her room number, where movers brought her boxes to, and a rough idea of where to go. Min could figure it out on her own. What was that Holmes Scholastic Merit Award for but being smart? So she brought her suitcase up rich redwood stairs, polished banisters winding up alongside her to room 4.

Bad luck. She didn't mind.

Standing in her room, the suitcase tucked in a corner, Min planned out what she'd do. Her sewing machine would find a home on the desk. A rolling stand of little plastic drawers could fit next to it. Sewing notions stored in that, and school supplies in the desk... Min smiled. She could make a home here for four years.

First, food. Not expecting anyone else in the kitchen, Min stopped when she saw another kid standing in there. She turned, wavy auburn hair hanging in her face as a scone hung out of her mouth.

The stranger waved. Crumbs fell onto the astronaut cat on her shirt. Min nodded. Pointing to the tray of corn muffins, the other student stared at Min. She didn't hate corn muffins. She nodded again.

Surprisingly, Min caught the muffin after the kid tossed it at her, walking out with a wave over her shoulder and an unintelligible greeting. Or saying goodbye.

Min never asked Jasper about it that year, and it was enough to have a friend that didn't mind quiet. She was okay with that.
