Make-Up That I Love Mini Review: Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Capri Coast

Background Info:

Skin Type: Combo/Oily

Hair Color: Black

Shade: Typically Natural Beige

Skin Tone: Warm yellow/golden

For someone who doesn’t wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis, I was so surprised and shocked to see that I HIT PAN on this product. Here’s my typical makeup line-up: toner, moisturizer, powder foundation (holy grail: Make-Up Forever Matte Velvet Skin in Y345), eyebrow pencil (holy grail AND affordable: E.L.F Brow Pencil in Neutral Brown), eyeliner (usually in brown for daytime), bronzer (THIS ONE!), and tinted lip balm (currently using NARS Afterglow Lip Balm in Dolce Vita.) That’s it. With my hooded eyelids and downturned eyes, I don’t have enough time during my drive to work to finagle with eyeshadow (I know, I know, but I only put makeup on when I’m at a stop, honest!).

Back to the review. Simply put, I love it. It has such a smooth, buttery texture that doesn’t skip and become patchy on my skin. There is a barely-there sheen that you can see in the pan that becomes even less apparent when applied. The shade Capri Coast comes across as very natural and not orange on me. It can be easily built up to your desired coverage. 

Now at $38 at Ulta and Sephora, this is by no means an inexpensive bronzer. However if you can find your compatible shade (5 to choose from), it will take a good while before you run out. I’ve had mine for over a year and have just now hit pan. I have so many other bronzers to go through before buying another one BUT if somehow I were to lose all the others, I would be repurchasing this one only and not miss the others.

Full day wear test of the @MisshaUS Perfect Cover BB cream No. 25 and damn. It's worn very well and not gonna lie, when I saw @jambeauty89 rave about it so much, I just wasn't sure if it would work for me. Typically, BB/CC creams tend to break down in the most unflattering ways through the day, so I usually wouldn't wear it to work. This has surprised me in a good way. It has a good amount of natural coverage, SPF is always appreciated. I currently have a few freeloaders, aka hormonal zits who've taken up residence on my right cheek and while this didn't cover them, it did even out my skin tone and stayed in place all day. I finished applying my makeup around 8am and 11 hours later, it's worn better than some foundations I have. It's worn off gently around my nose and it's a wee bit shiny in the T-zone (so does everything else), but other than that, it's holding strong. Still first time using it, so will keep trying it for the rest of the week, but great start. First pic is halfway through day, second is closeup of BB cream. Third pic is basically everything on my face for the day, except for my ABH eyebrow pencil because it was on its last legs and I tossed it out this morning (all holy grails for me).
