Art-Dump Pt. 2 (repose within the universe of your heart as we set our souls beautifully alight with love).
Was feeling down yesterday so I’m posting another wholesome + old traditional HeartTelepathy (or LarvaLeaf) art-dump from a while ago (for my SilkSea childhood friends AU) that I never posted because of my inconsistent art style and usual inactivity help XD)
Within my SilkSea AU, even as children they have always genuinely adored one another without ever wishing for the other to change, bring the best and cherish the worst within each other (much to Grigon’s flustered dismay), and thus promise to always try to understand each other despite their precious flaws and differing personalities (even if they argue from time to time).. for the beauty of their differences and reciprocal love for their family shall triumph for all eternity (and because they care extraordinarily for each other whether or not it’s platonic or romantic, since I personally perceive their unconventional bond to be far more emotionally heartfelt in many shapes and forms rather than physical, mainly because it feels way more special that way).
Also I can truly envision Questa helping Grigon to genuinely open up and happily accept love again (as they learn to also love themselves and grieve for the ones their hearts still miss as a family anew) as she eventually melts the emotionally reserved barriers around his closed off heart, whereas Grigon wholeheartedly helps her truly assert herself and feel safe without her feeling guilty about it (anxious optimistic alien-pleaser always fixing other’s problems rather than healing her own.. finally embracing the warmth of belonging and refuge that she’s always been seeking ever since they lost each other as teens).
Oh, and Grigon especially is head-over-nub-legs for when she gets angry (which is rare), and since she’s afraid of expressing her anger in visceral fear of accidentally ‘scaring’ her nieces and nephew, why wouldn’t he wish to fan the flames of her innermost warrior warrior when she’s always the one encouraging him to embrace his inner gentle strength and heartwarming softness for his family?
And what if Questa's ability to read minds and a predilection to find the good within others.. was the heartfelt key to breaking through Grigon's emotional defenses, with his fierce loyalty to his loved ones also complementing her compassionate nature? While thus being the only one to actually heal the healer, adoring every beautiful imperfection she has, cherishing the roots of her inner rage rather than only the petals of her beauty, and understanding the oceanic depth of her own grief she’s bottled up within her hearts?
Also (another head-cannon) I can genuinely imagine Questa and Grigon making soup and taking care of one another if one’s sick (she brewing him chamomile tea and him swaddling her if she refuses to sleep) and hilariously taking turns ‘crashing out’ while being the calm one when dealing with conflicts bahaha because both have a devout passion for their loved ones (but they also know how to be strategic & level headed when needed!) And, much to the everyone’s surprise, he’s the only one that can actually provoke Questa lmao (just as she’s the only one he’ll listen to) because of how much they adoringly cherish (and YEARN FOR) one another; so.. if she’s ever feistily admonishing that dork about his ‘temper tantrums’ oh- don’t worry.. he’s exactly where he wants to be lmao <3
Grigon is literally the abrasive hot-head with a short-fuse who listens to no one x the empathetic (but petrifying when angry) ‘delusional’ optimist who he adores with every fiber of his being (but they can never be together and thus forever yearn for one another just as the incandescent sun everlastingly burns for the moon evermoreee) <3
And lastly, since they both heartbreakingly knew what it was like to feel alone, these kindred spirits treat each other with understanding and bond over their dreams of setting their hearts free by combining their cultures one day..
But.. if only they knew just how painfully doomed they were.. ever since they began mutually trusting one another with an unprejudiced affection they freely felt to fullest…
(Because although their souls were made from the same star, they weren’t ever destined to stay together as one).
Yet, their hearts will always yearn and seek for more…
