I enjoy the show “Windy City Rehab,” about old, expensive homes that need reno in Chicago, Illinois. After the redo, these homes are worth over $1 million. This is the before & after transformation of a home called “The Treehouse.” You’ve got to see this.
As you can tell, the Treehouse has already been redone, but it’s kind of a modern, neutral, bland, space.
And, this is the Treehouse, now.
BAM! They kept some of the new features, like this built-in bar.
They also kept the built-in seating and made it into a colorful, modern, dining room.
The new fireplace and small niche behind it are spectacular.
The kitchen was refreshed and lightened with white.
The rustic modern stairs remained the same, the walls were painted bright white, and interesting hanging wire art was added.
The brown master was painted a deep, moody teal with pops of orange fabric.
The closet doors were removed and it was reworked into a cool neon-lit walk-in. Luckily, the previous owners had renovated it to a point where it could be further adapted w/o much reno.
