Some nice spring garden shots. Yes I still have leaves on my beds and ground. The reason is 2 fold. It keeps the ground warmer and composts at the same time as they break down and it gives beneficial creatures, lizards, good bugs etc and warm place to live during our winter even though it doesn't get real cold here. We are still getting tons of eggs. This means we can be picky. Only the cleanest ones come inside for us. The rest the pigs gladly eat for us. Granted. Almost all the ones the pigs get, we would have no problem brining in and eating ourselves ... But still ... Nice having lots of eggs. Love it when they are actually in the nesting boxes 😆. I need to make more. Our other nesting boxes kind of collapsed. I was thinking about going the route of using totes or 5 gallon buckets just to try something new. Post a pick of your nesting boxes and tag us! I need some ideas! Can NOT WAIT to sample these oatmeal bars tomorrow (and since everyone is on bed ... Maybe I won't wait 😅). SWIPE!---->>> First, I reserve about 3/4 cup of the base. Then laid about half the base down. Then drizzled caramel syrup (more than in pic 😅) on it. Then put down the rest of the base and gave it a very light paxk. Next put apples with cinnamon on top. Then the 3/4 cup reserve sprinkled on. Then baked. Then (can't really tell in the pics) drizzled just a little more on top while it was cooking. Jeni LOVES the apple cinnamon ones and I'm thinking she will love it with caramel even more! 16 degrees out. Derby's port for his eye meds froze so Jeni had to put this Sleazy on so that it won't freeze again. She had a lot of trouble getting the meds in the froze port tonight. The sleazy will keep the port and tubing warm his body heat sonmeds won't be a problem for later tonight's treatment and tomorrow morning treatments. Since we're going to be giving him treatments for weeks to come we're actually talking about cutting a flap in the sleazy and lining it with velcro so that we don't have to undo the whole sleazy four or five times a day to give him medicine.
