We are still getting tons of eggs. This means we can be picky. Only the cleanest ones come inside for us. The rest the pigs gladly eat for us. Granted. Almost all the ones the pigs get, we would have no problem brining in and eating ourselves ... But still ... Nice having lots of eggs. Pic is not great. But today I canned up a double batch of a Pork Chili Verde recipe that I got off of @cookingmadly . This is the second time I have canned some and LOVE this recipe! A chicken and her pigs. This chicken has lived in with the pig but since we move the pigs into this pasture to tear it up. Plan on planting a hay mix here in the spring. Anyway, pigs are doing thier job. They haven't eaten the chicken yet, so that's good. The chicken seems happy. She sleeps right in the but with them. She lays an egg every so often that they eat. These 2 are making it way to easy. They go to the butcher tomorrow. They are not blocked into this area. They can come and go but they have decided it is a great place to hang out 😀. Later today I will block them into this area. In the morning they will be sleeping in the trailer (like the one is now).
