Ingredients: 1 cup water. 1/2 cup sugar. 1/2 cup freshly grated ginger. 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice. 3 cups carbonated water.
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Strain the ginger syrup into a container, discarding solids. Stir in fresh lemon juice. To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour 1/4 cup of ginger syrup, and top with carbonated water.
