The Problem With Homophobic Christians

in honor of pride month I wanna yap (it's gonna be really long)

(this could also apply to other religions but idk) (also keep in mind I'm agnostic)

Good Bible Verses:

"Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."

2. Matthew 7:1-3 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

3. John 15:12 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

The 'homophobic' verses in the bible need to be taken with more context, as most of them refer to minors rather then genders. God did not write the bible. The bible was written by dozens of different human authors over the span of thousands of years.

In Christianity god is 'all knowing'. This would mean that they would know that the Lgbtq+ community uses a rainbow as a universal symbol for themselves. In Christianity god also creates rainbows. If the seemingly 'homophobic' bible verses are meant in the way homophobic Christians interpret them then they would also have to follow everything else in the bible. Such as not hating anyone, no lying, no cursing, no being drunk, no envy, no adultery before marriage, no being reckless, no loving money, and so many other things that are sins.

Keep in mind the bible is sexist.

The only unforgivable sin in Christianity is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Plus in Christianity Jesus "Died for our sins".

God is also all loving, love in Christianity isn't a sin. You'll find however that hate is a sin. In fact the only sin close to love is lust.

In Christianity god also created animals (along with humans). Over 1,500 species have been scientifically observed with homosexual behavior. A scientist doesn't have to obverse that only 1 species has past laws against a love that no one can control. Anything that a animal does is natural. If in Christianity god created animals and in the real world animals are naturally homosexual, why would god created them like that.

Why would it be a sin for something no one could control, and god created in the person.

To the homophobic Christians out there why would you take the risk to hate and lie. If you die and go to god and homosexuality isn't a sin, you will have to answer god's questions about your hatred for the things he created, and your lies about sins. All the people you hate and attack are gods children. Or would you just love everyone because that's what the bible tells you to do.
