Teaser: Without waiting for a reply, Miki snapped her fingers. The movement set off the sprinklers in the yard; it also somehow made her head jerk strangely, like her neck had forgotten it had a spine. But Miki was still moving as she stepped towards the water spread out like fans. As she drew closer, music notes. complete with accompanying soundtrack, started to drift across the water's surface. In seconds, the notes grew so numerous and dense that they blotted out the surface completely. As Miki turned, a sword as tall as a fucking building slashed through the notes to reveal an equally oversized helmet, with too many UFO shaped eyes and a metal grill of a mouth. It didn’t advance so much as slop forward, trailing a wet and thrashing scaly mess of a fish tail, blanketed by a cloak with nightmares swirled into its midnight color.

Teaser: From the controls of the crane, the Incubator stepped out onto the arm proper. We do have instruments for measuring the energy released from contracting. If magical girls turning into Witches was as good at decreasing entropy as you described, those instruments would have picked up something from your transformation. But we haven't had any energy readings. As it paused, it tilted its head in approximation of thought. Why are you ineffective at turning into a Witch? Is it because you didn't fulfill the wish you made in the last universe?

"Trouble in Paradise?" reflexively came out of Dave's mouth, though it hurt to think about Homura and this Madoka that way.
