i wanna do it soooo badly but ive been dying my hair dark red since 8th grade so i think it's pretty impossible for me w/o completely damaging it.... but i am seriously considering trying it anyways to be honest thank you your hair looks so nice jel

oh man yeah that's definitely going to be tough to get out D:  like i know how hard red is to bleach out (i constantly switch from red to black to blonde) so i waited a few months to let my hair grow out, chopped off as much of the red as possible, and then bleached it. Even after 3 bleachings it's still not all gone, but its gone enough to not make too much of a difference. it'd probably best to see what a salon suggests/is able to do.

if you do feel like tackling it yourself, i have heard good things about this for getting rid of dyes in hair. i've never tried it myself though. But yeah!!! if you decide to go for it i wish you good luck!

AHH THANKS. it easier for me because my hair is super short, but it still took like a month and three bleaching sessions (the red dye i used was super stubborn). Normally i buy my own bleaching powder and developer, but this time i just went for regular box stuff that you can buy anywhere. And for toner i used this and a little of this and mixed it with 20vol developer as directed and bam done! The wella toner works really well to get rid of the yellow bleached color, but you still need to get your hair hella fucking light in order to get a light silver. It's definitely a process, and i have no idea how people with long hair manage to do it @__@
