Big compliant of mine: The lack of camaraderie/mutual support between Eiko and her crew at the BB Lounge from the manga FRUSTRATES me. Almost every member within the group debuted per chapter were functioned as poor plot devices akin to disposable batteries and they are not given plenty of time to mingle and grow naturally once after their introductory arc ended.
Notably the next issue has to do with my favorite character of the series: Kabetaijin
And BOY did they screw him up... (SPOILERS DOWN BELOW)
Instead of witnessing his growth from P.A. Works's adaptation where Kabe defends a high school student from getting bullied, practices harder through day and night, having a heart-to-heart talk with his girlfrien-I meant singing partner Eiko and encourages her to sing the latest single she made, performing a delightful duet together, Eiko offers an advice on how to improve Kabe's freestyle rhymes: through getting back to where it all started, discovering that he's a local celebrity, reunites with his old friend Sasatcho and his hometown crew while being helped to bring back the fun of freestyle rap, represent himself as one of them before getting into a rematch against Sekitoba in the next mc battle, and eventually won after his close rival concedes out of respect with a smile....
Kabe went invisible within 4 chapters in and comes back with no development whatsoever. Not want to express my ungratefulness, but WHAT GIVES !?(ノಥ,_」ಥ)ノ彡┻━┻
It gets worse when this infuriating vanishing act pops back from the box. It's as if Kabe appears only for rap battle sequences and nothing else, up until the Summer Sonia arc where he returns for an important role to sabotage their nefarious rival off the stage. And would you know it, nothing matters because character progression is non-existent there.
Reviewers criticize the rap sequences and Kabe's arc were deemed unnecessary, but I say it was vital for his role and his further bonds that will test each of their strengths and weaknesses. (And also for everyone who were fans of him, myself included.)
No matter what kind of circumstances they would make up, the manga will always be inexcusable to me.
Judging from today's chapter release I read, it may be a good time to take a step back before reopening back in a new page. (Meaning I should stay away from Yotsuba and Ogawa's take on Paripi Koumei for a while and stick to AUs.)
Just finished Yakuza 0. Wow! What a game! GG wp Sega that was one nice story to tell (though Outrun sucks and Ogita can kiss my butt. I outddanced him in case you're wondering.)
I can't wait to dive deeper into the franchise.
I also related to Majima on more than one level and it goes beyond the eye patch (to be fair together we would have one working pair of eyes as he's missing his left eye and I have damaged right eye. Even if the eye doesn't match it's nice to see a fellow pirate stating In a game.) His Sotenbori arch is what draw me to the character the most. Being stuck in a situation that many people who don't know the details might envy you but it's more like a cage. I felt that.
Good game 10/10 would recommend. Low budget shows but the writing, climate, story and characters make up for it. I was genuinely sad to part with them and they're not even real!
Sorry for this rant y'all. I know you ain't here for this.
I'll be honest, ever since I started to watch South Park Cartman and Kyle are the thing I'm craving 24/7. I'm not Style shipper. I just see them as super best friends. But lately I started to be addicted to Stanman. Just coz. And after reading more and more into this ship, I realized, that OT3s are actual thing. And I learned that I actually don't hate Style if Cartman is involved. Because I just love that fatass and in my opinion he deserves love. And love from two people? Even better. So... Styleman, you guys. That's what roll on my mind now. Even though Kyman is my ultimate OTP.
Sir, I hope you were just joking about the score you gave for Paripi Koumei. Regardless of your own expectations and the flaws shown at the beginning to end, the underdogs' journey to the music industry with the help of the greatest Chinese historical figure transcends further to greater heights away from everyone's usual romcoms they would drool on.
Not to say it turned south once Azalea appears in the 7th episode, but more onto my assumption towards author Yotsuba being *cough* bias on them, according to the research I privately conduct.
I appreciate for the anime giving us a parallel visualization between Eiko and Nanami including an in-depth look at their friendship.
But....
To be honest...not a fan of Eikonami (Eiko and Nanami) and Azalea like everyone else. Though I have to sit through to its entirety of the second half with them for me to get through. (Real grateful P.A. Works managed to keep on balance between the cast outside BB Lounge, otherwise I would drop it for good.)
i wasn't going to personally speak on this because for the last few days ive been under the weather and have been off and on tumblr to care about it and i saw it scrolling through the tag for more bodyarmour/media day pics because i know i got the tag riled up because i finally spoke out on the blantant racism that's been thrown around for months and nobody's said anything.
and yes, from looking at the repost arguments and me subtly being mentioned, 'misogyny' or not its embarrassing that there are still people who defend her on this app under his tag, and when someone calls them out about it, they're quick as hell to throw out the n word just like she used to.
as a fan you crazies drive the black community of joe tumblr away as fast as you can get them. and simply y'all get so fucking worked up about when someone calls her out on her BS of what she posts but could care less if black people die in the streets or get harrassed online. some of you new fans who are really fangirls are weird bitches and trifling and yall need to be aware of that.
influencers these days edit their body (including livvy dunne one of her 'friends' got exposed for it back at lsu) making girls around the world have ED's and i used to have one after covid because i gained so much weight from being stuck inside. if you support this shit you're part of the reason what's wrong in mental health & body image these days. no influencers do not care about you, and they aren't a real job unlike people like alix earle etc who are ATLEAST getting meaningful big brand deals out of them, going on tv shows etc, so you dickriding them every chance you get looks embarrassing.
when i was a fan, not posting anything in 2023-2024 it was a much better place and everyone got along, and now it feels like WW3 clicking onto his tag. do better, ya'll know he wouldn't like the racism being thrown around like fucking candy.
if you have your rude rebuttals keep them out my inbox or ill start blocking, thank ya.
Worst part of a heavy hyperfixation is the feeling of loneliness. Nobody else is as obssessed as you are. You have to pretend you don't want to scream, not talk, nonstop about these two characters you love so much that you want to peel your skin off.
Just to sure, I am not going to name-drop who this user was but...
Yeah, couldn't agree more than ever, as it was shown in majority of the chapters in volume 4 of the manga where they sorely emphasize only on THEM without giving anyone a chance to grow as compared to what we have seen P.A. Works did in their adaptation last Spring. (worst of all in chapter 25 vol. 4 Eiko comes off as way too defensive once after the roast and rumours against AZALEA even she is fully aware of it being a part of their plan)
I had a slew of wlw/lesbian pairings my colorful mind can splash wondrously around and embrace them every pride (mostly fanon ones).......but EIKO x Nanami just isn't for me.
Rather I see them more as musician buddies hanging out every weekend with their other gal pals Ichika and Futaba or by any chance all four of them would be featured in a crazy variety show similar to Earth Arcade. At the end, we all agree to disagree.
Surely though, I could've sworn there were more than few...(─.─||)
sometimes, whenever i post a video and i see it get than 100 views, i think to myself: "am i really doing this because i just want to? or for clicks?"
i think having, like, 44k views on my most popular video got to me .-.
to be honest, i started making youtube content so i can see if i can have my shot at it, and then i was having fun, and then despite having 546 subs, i get less than a hundred views. i'm kinda used to nobody watching my streams now because it happens all the time, but for youtube it's different .-.
maybe i'm just terrible at being a youtuber but then again, i don't really self advertise unless it's ok to because i might sound like a jerk and i'm not really desperate for attention anyways... 😅
but hey, that doesn't mean i'll quit. i'll continue making videos and streaming. maybe i can make it a part or full-time job when i'm older ( ō ,ô)
yeah...i bet you guys are asking "wait you have a channel???" and yeah i do :^
