Homeland

First Hetalia doodle in a while. So yeah. For those who don't know and/or are curious - I live in Canada and I've been living here for a while now.

Originally I wanted to include all of countries that shaped my identity - Poland, England, Scotland, the Netherlands and Canada.

I ended up drawing only Canada because I'm just being lazy lmao.

Do I miss Europe? Sometimes. I miss the food and how close everything is. I miss being able to just walk in the city and I miss the architecture.

Do I miss Poland? No. No I don't. Especially when I see what's happening there and what my friends and family tell me (and they are all over the politics spectrum so it's not like I'm under this 'lefty propaganda') and I know that it's just not a country for me.

Do I miss the UK? Sort of. As I mentioned they are things that I miss in Europe but what I definitely don't miss is prejudice. I was discriminated against in the UK because I had a stigma of being born in the Eastern Europe. I was the second class citizen and the English did let me know this. Canada gave me probably the best gift I could ask for - a blank slate.

To people in here I'm like a person form another province. The fact that they are blissfully ignorant of my country of origin is for the most part wonderful. For the first time I'm free of the cleaner/stripper/prostitute stereotype/stigma and it's wonderful.

Will I stay in Canada forever? I don't know but it's a country I wouldn't mind living in. I have some work offers in East Asia and SA so I'll see what's going to happen next.

I've managed to finish Kiwami 2 before my uni starts. Yay!

My first reaction? The ending was fucking stupid XD!

After Terada came back from death to turn out to be a mastermind behind the whole thing just to not be the mastermind and for the mastermind to be killed by Ryuji was kind of anti-climactic. As in the element of surprise was so exaggerated that in the end it was like a parody and I couldn't take it seriously.

Kaoru and Kiryu relationship feels flat like there's 0 chemistry going on. I didn't like it and I still don't feel it.

Majima defusing the bomb was pure gold - I loved it. I'm going to use was a reaction meme.

I like the plot to a certain extent, the concept of war and the dragon of Kansai. I like Sotenbori (though where's Dragon and Tiger?! Not even mentioning? Rly?!) and Majima Saga. Side stories were good and I had fun doing them. I like Daigo and Yayoi was awesome.

Cabaret minigame is awesome regardless and I loved every second of it. It's nice to see Yuki again.

Overall good game, retarded engine and ending like a parody.

The kiss at the end made me a bit uncomfortable. Guys...Haruka is watching, Date is watching, heck! I'm watching!

If I had to rate Yakuza games by the time I've spend on playing the ranking would look like this:

1st Yakuza 0 - 204,7 hours

2nd Yakuza Kiwami 2 - 139,1 hours

3rd Yakuza Kiwami - 96,8 hours

Ofc Kiwami is way shorter than 0 and 2 so it wouldn't be fair to judge those games by this standard.

Finally! I've managed to do the fucking golf bingo and baseball grind.

As much as I like the main story and the sidequests I doubt I'll play Kiwami 2 ever again after finishing chapter 13.

Minigames, grind and 4 Amon missions in this game are not worth it. I still hate Dragon engine but not as much.

Golf made me miss Ogita dance battle but no Outrun. Outrun can suck my non-existimg balls, alongside golf.

Also why tf karaoke is so difficult now?!

Though the main plot was predictable as hell I have to say that I really enjoyed it's ending.

Okay I’ve been quiet on this but no more. Titansmx on Instagram did a great job of lightening the color and putting them side by side after the trailer came out.

What is wrong with the crotch of the Robin and Nightwing suits??? What the fuck is this? They gave Nightwing a massive cod piece that he’s never had before this show and idk what that square thing on robin is. If I was a villain I would hit them there because they draw the eyes.

But otherwise the robin costume is great and if the Nightwing was a little slimmer it would be great too. But I did just notice they gave him finger strips so points added for that.

Just finished Kiwami and my first reaction is - I liked 0 better.

It was an ok game (no outrun - this minigame can go fu*k itself!) but the story was better in 0 overall. I'm biased since 0 was my introduction to the series but even though I didn't ship them until the end Makoto and Majima > Kiryu and Yumi imo.

Also Sega, you did dirty to my koi boi Nishiki.

It was nice to see part of the 0 squad back but unlike in 0 I didn't get attached to any new characters. SPOILER: Like I was genuinely sad when Tachibana died in 0 but I felt nothing after the death of Shinji SPOILER ENDS.

Hostesses stories were a nice addition but neither of them can hold a candle to Club Sunshine girls. I'd like to know what happened to Hibiki and her brother. Did Saki become a nurse? Did Ai make more friends? I want to know!

What's more we didn't get the dog's name until the premium adventure!

Also Haruka, honey, you don't abandon pets.

Majima everywhere was fun, especially after I've learned the Tiger Drop 🐅🐯.

SPOILER: I liked the small detail of how Majima's face change when the Shangri La girl told him that she's in love with someone else. You could tell that this guy deeply value love and a right to love whom you please. Like. Cute. SPOILER ENDS.

Overall it was a good game but not a great one. Fucking Jo Amon was at least beatable in Kiwami. I can't describe how much I wanted to stuck that laser canon up his ass in 0.

Speaking of substories again I feel like 0 had more to offer. My favourite Kiwami one was actually the sequel to 0's Disciple of the New Order. I mean Disciple of the New Order was a comedy gold!

Now. Can I beat Kiwami 2 before the academic year starts?

Just finished Yakuza 0. Wow! What a game! GG wp Sega that was one nice story to tell (though Outrun sucks and Ogita can kiss my butt. I outddanced him in case you're wondering.)

I can't wait to dive deeper into the franchise.

I also related to Majima on more than one level and it goes beyond the eye patch (to be fair together we would have one working pair of eyes as he's missing his left eye and I have damaged right eye. Even if the eye doesn't match it's nice to see a fellow pirate stating In a game.) His Sotenbori arch is what draw me to the character the most. Being stuck in a situation that many people who don't know the details might envy you but it's more like a cage. I felt that.

Good game 10/10 would recommend. Low budget shows but the writing, climate, story and characters make up for it. I was genuinely sad to part with them and they're not even real!

Many people from poorer countries come to Poland because it's the gate to the West. Due to its shared history Poland is the most accessible country of the EU for Ukrainians and Belarusians. It has nothing to do with the economy but rather the immigration law. It's easier to get to Poland and then try to use the Schengen Area to move further west. Even though those People are theoretically in Poland they actually are in Germany.
