On top of a salty graham cracker crust, mascarpone cheese, honey, and fresh figs make a rich pie. This tart is the perfect mix of sweet and savory, making it a classy dessert for any event.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 8 ounces mascarpone cheese. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup honey. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/8 teaspoon salt. Fresh figs, sliced, for topping. Honey, for drizzling.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Put graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and salt in a bowl and mix them together. Add melted butter and mix until the mixture looks like wet sand. Fill a 9-inch tart pan with the dough and press it into the bottom and up the sides. For 10 to 12 minutes, or until just barely golden, bake the crust. Let it cool all the way down. Get a different bowl and beat the mascarpone cheese until it is smooth. Heavy cream should be whipped in a different bowl until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream into mascarpone slowly. Mix honey, vanilla extract, and salt into the mascarpone. Mix everything together well. Cover the crust with the mascarpone mixture. Slice the figs and put them on top of the mascarpone filling. For decoration, drizzle with more honey. Put the tart in the fridge for at least an hour before you serve it.
