lessons from the week of january 1st ✨ ••• 1. patience. all of the layers and tests of patience, showing up in every shape and form. patience in finding the words. patience in decision-making. patience in saving funds for my business. patience in several-hour meetings. patience in listening. patience in adhering to the plan and purpose. ••• 2. no matter how hard i try, i won’t always feel like the kindest person in the world. sometimes i have negative thoughts about others. sometimes i forget to respond to text messages for too many days. sometimes i don’t want to show up. it is good to observe and intentionally change the negatives. it is not necessary to loathe myself for them. ••• 3. celebration. it is important to celebrate something (many things) every day. no matter how exhausting the day is, and no matter the form of celebration. i am celebrating the people and things that i love. i am celebrating victories and failures. when i lose something, i celebrate the space it creates. when i feel something, i celebrate the ability to feel at all. - #vulnerability #notetoself #honeyhands #realmoments #lessons
