Honey Maple Tea Pt. 1 (Honey + Maple’s Story)
Sooooo I’ve been meaning to make a comic on this but I haven’t had a lot of time so I’m explaining it through text. Basically it’s a story on how two completely different people meet. One named Eddy, the other being Honey. Honey is a girl who’s had a very rough start but a generally good upbringing. Her birth father was a Finnish man who had to take a business trip to China, where he had a one night stand with a stripper. The stripper was Honey’s birth mom, and due to her mom being financially unable to support a baby she put her up for adoption. (I’m still reading up on how international adoption works so eee) A very well off family in America adopts her, and having loved the name she was given (蜂蜜- pronounced Fēngmì.... if I have this wrong please dm me and tell me. I’ve seen many different translations of this word and I don’t want to have it wrong) they call her Honey.
Anyways, a year or so after they adopted Honey, 2 years old, they have a baby and name her Maple. As they grow, Maple is deeply influenced on Honey’s obsession with witchcraft. She loves how Honey mixes herbs for certain teas and all give a certain effect (ex. some teas are meant to calm you, some teas are to inspire you, some aid in creativity, etc.) Maple took it upon herself to start creating her own teas, reading up on different herbs and flowers and what their properties aid you with. During high school she wasn’t that good with keeping her grades up, but what she did do well on was selling her teas to her neighbors and others who heard how good they were. She decided to drop out during her Sophomore year to start her own business in the tea making industry. She bought a shop with the money she earned from years of selling her teas (and some help from her parents) and soon started selling her teas that way. It was slow at first but it eventually became a success. (Later on in the game, like waaay later, a cute girl comes into the store and it was love at first site. That’s another story tho)
Back to Honey, she finishes high school with C average grades (same) and is accepted into art college where she learns about writing poetry and books. She majors in Creative Writing, and eventually winds up in a poetry class with a guy named Eddy. Now HERE is where the story turns, but let’s turn back a few years with another story.
