Attilee! omgosh i go to mary washington! i've been following this blog for like a year now and i can't believe i didn't realize it until you graduated. a friend of mine said she saw you mention it on here a while ago. the school is so super small i've probably seen you in real life! heck we could have even had a class together, I'm super bad at remembering classmates. crazy how the world works

Haha, aw how cool! Yeah, I do think I mentioned UMW a while back in responding to an asker, but I typically didn’t mention it often just because it wasn’t typically relevant to Steven Universe stuff!

I know there was at least two other people who recognized me from videos/this blog on campus which was pretty neat, it’s a small world, guys! But that’s okay that we didn’t connect, for a small school like Mary Wash it’s still pretty easy to get caught up in your own little bubble of bliss (especially once you get into your major, I only knew people receiving BS degrees because they were my roommates, everyone else I’ve befriended was an English Major or Digital Studies Minor) :) live it up on campus for me next semester! Grab some Carl’s and Sugar Shack in my honor!!

How to make the permalink (tags & notes) appear on hover

Difficulty: Easy

I'm sure there are other tutorials out there for this, this has been requested.

1. Code the permalink as you want it to look

Code the tags and notes like you normally would to make them look as you want. For my "touch" theme I wanted everything in a box underneath the post, the date and notes in a row and the tags under the border, so here's the code for that:

2. Add opacity:0 to the permalink to make it invisible:

3. Add this little piece of code anywhere above the </body> tag:

.posts:hover #permalink {

        opacity:1;

    }

It's important to make this effect the single posts and not all at once so the piece of code that determines the post width is the one you want to put before hover. So if you've called the box in wich the posts are scrolling #postcontainer and the actual posts with their width and all .miniposts then yours would look like this: .miniposts:hover #permalink etc.

And that's already doing the job! You can of course add a transition and more effects etc but this is the basic code. I hope this was helpful, if you have any question don't hesitate to ask. :)
