This is what our apiary looks like when we are about to extract the honey. We put clearer boards on the day before, which allows the bees to clear out of the top honey super overnight. We then come back the next day and tip the boxes on their edges like this. Any remaining bees, we blow out with a blower vac before placing the honey supers onto pallets and loading them onto the truck.
