Speaking of being of high status within their own culture, Hooks sure finds herself playing the role of princess much more comfortably than Maryam:

No, it didn’t matter. Let her play the sweet princess if she wanted to, Maryam had real practicalities to discuss with them.

Pale Lights Book 3 Hooks

Almost done with adding characters to my Book 3 Thirteenth fanart lineup for Pale Lights. Almost.

Hooks is so extra here, she's even outdoing Fortuna. I really like how the murder of gloam turned out.

The dress is loosely based on a 17th century Hungarian piece. Even if my very modern graphic roses really just is me giving into my love of drawing those.

Pale Lights Discord Emotes version... Well... Something

Izel, Hooks, Cressida and Bait

Doubling up as an Intermission 2025 entry. I didn't participate last week as I also needed a break, but here we go. For those interested intermission entries are gathered on this Wiki page (it's about to be hit with a bunch of different fanart entries once the editors get off work).

I kept correcting Izel's expression so many times. It's meant to be a deranged and talented science reaction. Oh well, if it's not working i might at some point make him a new emote.

For Hooks I had fun making her's a companion piece to Maryam's disgust emote. Only, the opposite. I also tried making her clearly visually distinct from her sister the classic manga way. Different hair!

Cressida is angry because I didn't give her a cool hat. I can't blame her.

And poor Bait is filling in our need for a crying emote. Bait did not sign up for this, and yet, here he is.
