do you think the people who would build a rent reducer 9000 are the same people who are building houses
They are the people showing up at city council meetings and demanding that we not build more housing. I have met a lot of them!

we're abolishing gender! in the future people will just be referred to as AMAB or AFAB, no need for gender at all! š
this is a progressive stance, you see, because AMAB and AFAB are different words from "man" and "woman." we're leaving such outdated concepts behind!
no no no it's not "misgendering you." it doesn't refer to your gender, it refers to the sex you were assigned. that way we don't need gender anymore! you can just throw that old thing away
now there's only two categories: AMABS and AFABS! so much simpler! what? no I didn't say there's only two genders. these aren't genders they're categories. this is progress we're making progress
you want to change your assignment? because of what, your gender? no you don't need one of those, I said to get rid of it
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
If I havenāt made it obvious enough yet, I really like Wildbowās writing
Is this anything?
Itās a shame that walkable cities will require tracking cars that enter city limits and exploding them with a bazooka but policy requires trade-offs
Newest chapter is out! The girls keep pushing through a long night to protect the town from the spirit invasion! Thank you to Ozymandias for narrating this chapter.
(The chapter was actually uploaded yesterday, but between work and wife birthday I was busy from 5am til 10pm so this post gets made today instead)
i feel like starting an argument

I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area theyāve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record Iām fine with
But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy
Here he is, the Aldi Cowboy

The sweeping expansion would dramatically increase the total number of activity centres from 60 to 210, essentially turning almost every train station in Melbourne into a high-density housing zone.

It has already faced fierce backlash from some councils and residentsā groups, which have accused the government of a centralised power grab that erodes local communitiesā say over high-rise developments.

The fic I drew this for finally dropped the chapter where this reveal happens so now I can post this to tumblr yay yippee.

Which hero had the most fans pre Gold Morning?
Alexandria
Eidolon
Legend
Dragon
Weaver
Chevalier
Myriddin
Armsmaster
Miss Militia
( Ķ”~ ĶŹ ͔° )
Scion
The Sniveling Slug (who has -3 fans & is a loser)
(poll submitted by @germesthegenie)
for several of these capes it's actually pre echidna, since I doubt many alexandria stans were walking around in 2012.
(thanks for the submission, germes! but your original prompt, "most glazers/stans" was more specific to powerscaling rather than simply fans, and I felt that changed the overall trajectory of the question)
the slug option used to say MY GLORIOUS KING THE SLUG but i am your god slug i am your god and i am not a gracious god. you are nothing to me you are the shit i scraped from my boot. SUFFER, SLUG. SUFFER FOR MY AMUSEMENT.
Make sure to tell me what you think and why you think it!
My take on what these fanbases mightāve looked like:
Alexandria - Pre 2012 sheās the runaway winner. Just look at her popularity in the actual fandom. Post 2012 thought obviously it becomes a lot more awkward to be openly a fan. Like some people probably still are, the diehards or those who would argue theyāre fans of who she was before corruption by the Simurgh. But popularity definitely plummeted.
Eidolon - Popularity rests almost solely with the PHO powerscalers. Batman tier āEidolon with prep time beats anyoneā except like at least here its mostly true? Canāt imagine him having much outside of that though, aside from maybe people heās saved.
Legend - If anyoneās reputationās surviving post-Echidna itās him. Canonically pushed LGBTQ+ rights forward a ton, kinda hard to compete with that.
Dragon - Big mechs, Birdcage manager, and being one of the nicer heroes probably nets her a sizeable fanbase. Dedicated fan thread of people making their own dragon mech designs (usually kids) that she sometimes looks at for at least a couple of ideas. Dragon fanclub thread moderators have to ban Saintās 200 alt accounts every other week.
Weaver - In my head, while sheās basically the biggest topic of 2011-2012, I donāt think she have a massive fambase per se. More likely a smaller, dedicated group of fans that are ready to defend any of her warcrimes as they come out. Gets a subfandom speculating sheās gay like a certain other Taylor.
Chevalier - Bump up in popularity after becoming the face of the new Protectorate. Unfortunately also means heās under a lot more scrutiny and probably takes some hits to rep after things like New Delhi. Not to mention living in the shadow of the Triumvirate.
Myrddin - Like 80% of his fanbase are also Maggie Holt fans. People try copying his sigils to do āmagicā and come up with a whole system that probably not even Myrddin himself put much thought into.
Armsmaster - Probably had a decent fanbase pre-Leviathan. Had a merch line with Armsmaster underwear and all that canonically. They were probably in shambles after he disappeared. Some people keep trying to push this new Defiant guy as someone the community can latch onto but like its not the same yknow?
Miss Militia - Canāt tell if sheād be really popular or unpopular with the patriotic types. Has at least one dedicated and a kinda parasocial stan on PHO thats definitely not Taylor Hebertās alt.
Scion - Absolutely massive base of maybe not exactly fans, but people trying to figure out who or what he is. Full blown conspiracy theorists trying to figure out his origin. Every once in a while one of them gets a bit close (by infinite monkey theorem more than anything) and a bunch of definitely not Cauldron sockpuppet accounts debunk them before the original poster suddenly decides to take an indefinite break from the internet.
the thing that bewilders me about a lot of fantasy readers is that they read about settings and plots featuring imperialism, war, and slavery and then call the inclusion of violence, abuse, and sexual exploitation "edgy" and "gratuitous" and it's like what did you think was happening. why were you under the impression that you were going to get a cozy story about fascism or something. far be it from me to criticize anyone for not wanting to read about torture in their spare time, and there are certainly cases where heavy subjects are poorly executed, but is it not equally insulting to sanitize them for a feel-good adventure.. like no one put a gun to your head and forced you to give your fantasy novel an enslaved protagonist. sometimes writing is supposed to make you feel bad
