Even though he did check out his apartment after the kind driver brought him there, Charles didn't get to meet his roommates yet, but it was something that could easily be caught up with later, probably. So, instead of waiting, he'd figure familiarizing himself with the area will prove helpful— figure out where he even is and what that means for him for the foreseeable future.
Well, he failed both of these steps. Everything was so strange; the lifeforms here just being the tip of the iceberg. At this point, he's just taking in everything without questioning it, acting like it makes perfect sense for him to be here, why wouldn't it— else, he'd probably panic by now about how barely anything is recognizable.
Besides, not all is bad! Sure, he still doesn't get this place, but... he found some dogs! All together in a park! With... monitors as their heads? Uh. Huh.
Trying to figure out what the monitors can do proved pointless, as these puppies weren't willing to stand still for long enough— but they did let you pat them, which was what he was doing until something stood out. This wasn't a canine, surely, and their head seemed fine— wait, is that a sheep?
Charles was just about to approach the sheep, only to notice the other fella nearby, presumably the one who got the sheep here. Hopefully, anyway: if it were to be lost, it'd be... concerning. "Hey, you new here too?" he greeted as he'd head to them instead, waving.
"I've been tryin' to figure out what these puppies with these tablets do; I think they're called netpups? Might just be a nickname. They don't stand still long enough though, so uh... oh right-" he briefly gestured to the tablet-less sheep. "is that one yours?"
@dynadubwool oh look he found felt
