Knee Deep's Hoparillo Triple IPA (Picked up at the Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA). A 4 of 4. I'll just put it simply: Knee Deep makes some of the best ridiculous IPAs out there. With 8 or so Imperial IPAs and some excellent single IPAs, they know what they are doing. Huge pine and resinous nose on this and a decent bit of residual sweetness in the body. Not as much of a wallop to the palate as I was expecting, and the 11.1% stays relatively well-hidden. A bit syrupy in character, and a simply huge amount of power and even a bit of nuance to the hops. This is stupid. In the absolute best way.
