@hopefulkeys ♥’d for a starter!
Idiots. All of them were idiots.
Of all the thoughts swirling around in Kokichi’s mind at the moment, this one was the most prevalent. From the moment the words “killing game” had been spoken, he’d seen the other students around him slowly start to crack in their own ways—denial, blind panic, blind optimism. It was all the same to him, really, because any reaction at all meant that Monokuma had already started worming his way into their heads. Sooner or later, someone would eventually break, and the supreme leader already had a couple guesses as to who that might be.
The soft sound of piano music drifting down the hallway gave him pause, and he turned his head towards the source, wandering over to it until he came to a stop in front of what could only be the door to the Ultimate Pianist’s lab. His hand reached for the door, and he quietly pushed it open and slipped into the room, not wishing to interrupt Kaede’s playing just yet. As highly tempting as it was to startle her for a quick little prank, the music was so gentle and soothing that even he didn’t have the heart to stop her. Perhaps she deserved a warning after all.
