When I started shipping it if I did: I watched EMH a while back, saw the dynamic between Hulk and Clint, and thought it’d be interesting if their dynamic were expanded to include Bruce.
My thoughts: We love a disaster duo in this house!
What makes me happy about them: Despite being the products of bad dads and less than stellar childhoods they both wanna be good, and they wanna be good together.
What makes me sad about them: The fact they both had messed up childhoods and bad fathers in the first place :’(
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Tbh I haven’t read any hulkeye fics in a while, but the one thing that really annoyed me whenever Bruce was treated like he was less important than Clint instead of them being equals, or that Hulk was the one who mattered more while Bruce got pushed to the side.
Things I look for in fanfic: Is it soft? Is it tender? Does Bruce get an equal amount of attention to Clint or other characters?
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: For Bruce, Thor or Betty. For Clint, it’d be chill if he kept being bros with Kate.
My happily ever after for them: Clint passes his legacy on to Kate, Bruce gets a teaching job at some university with an amazing science program, and then they retire from the whole superhero business. They spend their time on a little farm. Lucky is also there, and Bruce’s kids end up swinging by a lot.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Most nights Bruce is the big spoon and Clint is the little spoon. Even though he wouldn’t say it, he likes the way Bruce curls around him and makes him feel like it’s just the two of them in the world. Not to mention it’s like being surrounded by a small gamma fueled space heater.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Practicing archery together. Bruce actually develops a pretty solid aim, and that makes Clint happy to no end.
