Sound of Silence Alluring landscapes and delightful wild horses aren’t the only things that entice me into returning to the plains along the Pony Express Trail in Utah. The absolute silence is something that is truly almost impossible to find in the northeastern parts of the country. On a windless day there isn’t even the sound of a breeze blowing through the dried grasses and sage. Silence is broken only by flocks of Horned Larks skulking along the open plains in search of seeds and remaining insects. Their sweet calls are welcome punctuation to the seductive sound of silence. #HornedLarks www.danieldauria.com (at Pony Express Trail) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9cHOqSgqp_/?igshid=1r0zqah9qnqf3
