“If only some of us were just as fortunate.” Arms lift to splay the black talons just over her shoulders before they sweep downward, ever keeping a modest amount space between blackened skin and her form. When deadly hands reach level with her hip he draws them away so that he may step around her side, toothy grin appearing among the purposeful made shadows about the hood. “But it seems I’m all out of bargaining chips in exchange for hellfire favors. Unless the devil deals in IOUs and secondhand souls.”
A further pull back of the ruinous corner of his mouth into a wider smile that displays more of those pointed teeth. He ignores the twinge as skin rebels and tears, a wisp of black escaping the gap created. “Although I am starting to become accustomed to this after so long. It grows on you...even if it does feel like constantly being eaten alive.”
The laugh that follows is rough, grating but genuinely amused.
