man. it is great that veilguard is not real to me, bc if you start a fic writing situation with "the protagonist is from an alienage and most of her personality is shaped by how precarious and dangerous it is to be a lone wandering elf in thedas" it becomes. extremely ridiculous to try and eventually pivot to "and THIS is why the elves are actually guilty for all sins. ever. yeah they were actually the evil colonizers all along. they simply could not coexist with the dwarves, forget about any previous evidence of coexistence, bc the elves only existed out of unnatural hubris and evil and they need to convert away from their religion <3 thankfully this is already what tevinter and the chantry believed, so they were right all along <3"
