Horrorfell! Au general headcanons

In most cases they can’t really help the majority of the things going on inside of them, it’s like it’s in their blood. which is kinda funny cause they copied instincts of other monsters long ago, more specifically animal monsters, dog monsters. Most of the families that didn’t wanna hurt the fallen children keep weapons hidden away just in case. If someone from the family tried to hurt the child they’d knock them out cold, right in the head. like sans in the OG Horrortale when papyrus had to hit him before he could eat Aliza. I headcanon that every horror au skeleton has a form that tears its way out when they fall into that hunting mindset. And once the urge kicks in, there’s no holding it back. When they’re after prey, any kind of monster, it doesn’t matter — they shift. bones creak, joints snap into place, their frame stretches and grows. their shadows twist longer, heavier. the air around them turns cold. their steps stop sounding normal. Their presence alone feels wrong, like something ancient and starving is watching from the dark. Their speed turns inhuman, their attacks sharper, more violent. They move like they’ve done this a thousand times before. The world slows down for them, and you can’t even react before they’re already behind you. but once it’s over, the power eats them alive from the inside. Their body trembles, cracks along their bones, the exhaustion hits like a crash — the kind that leaves them barely standing, still dripping with the dust of whatever they caught. It can also be provoked if they see someone they care about in danger. that form comes out without control, ready to protect, and if it gets to that point they’ll fight until there’s nothing left to hurt. Some of them use it just to scare whoever provoked them, to show who’s stronger, like showing off their power.

When they plan on killing someone they don’t just look at them, they glare straight into their soul, literally. Especially the wingdings ones, those mad scientists. it’s not just a stare, it’s like they’re analyzing you, thinking how you’d taste, what would hurt the most, what kind of meal you’d make. When they do it, they’re not just angry, they’re hunting. They’re faster than most other fell aus or any aus in general, cause of their survival instincts. they tried copying animal monsters, and it worked too well. they run fast, see in the dark, growl low when they’re pissed, act like predators that learned to think and talk like ordinary monsters. They’re not monsters because of how they look. They are monsters because of how they act.

Headcanon(s) for HorrorFell!Gaster

Wingdings was a at first a really caring scientist, at first when everything began he made sure everyone is safe, gets fed, and doesnt go into anysort of sicknesses, has resources of foods etc etc, working hard on the core so everything could be provided. But, when it broke down, and everyone began losing all of the things, he yet stayed determined, and hopeful, working hard day and night, doing massive amounts of paper work, overworking himself to exhaustion. Where his two younger brothers would worried for him sickly, but he didint stop, until, the famine officialy broke out. Monsters had agreed on eating any sort of human that next falls down, to be eaten, and be used as food recourse. Since then he couldnt help it, his sons were starving, finding foods all over Snowdin, barely anything less then a few berries, others have taken it already, so, he eventually couldnt take it anymore. And began slowly with this cruelness, he at first taken one human in his laboratory, testing on them, checking on their HP, and othersorts. Then came the experiments, seeing how much could they endure, how helpful could they serve. And then later.. monsters, he had taken them in too, seeing how 'useless' humans were, making their remants into food instead for Sans and Papyrus, he experimented on monsters, as their powers were at a chance of maybe powering up the CORE again. He pushed those monstersas far as possible, through their limits, just like it was done with humans done so many times. The once sorrowful gaze he had, even when causing the slightest harm, disappeared, replaced instead by lifeless eyes.
