I’m Alex, a 30 something year old writer struggling with a consistent sleep schedule. On the side, I read, draw, and form character or story playlists for myself that I later utilize when I write. I’m a fan of video games, particularly game with a strong story. My favourites being Mass Effect, The Last of Us, and Life is Strange.
I’ve primarily spent my Tumblr career reblogging things that amuse me on a separate account. Thanks to covid though, I decided to create and dedicate a new page to use solely for my writing projects. I will welcome any like-minded people and support, and hope to return the favour.
I currently have six project stewing, but at the moment I’ll be focusing on three specific stories:
The Young Reign – A fantasy court intrigue which I’ve had in my mind the longest, I already know how it’s supposed to end, I was just having trouble with how to get there. But I’ve been reworking the story, worlds, and people. My newest girl is Erys.
Memento Mori – This is my supernatural thriller, which is at capacity for drama, sarcasm, and attractive babes. This story is told primarily from Lucie’s first person perspective. She is easily my favourite character of all my projects, and she helped me find my writer’s voice. She’s gonna go thru hell, so allow me to make an official apology. Luce, I’m so very sorry for what I’m gonna put you through. I will make it up to you, I promise!
The Things We Do – Is my only standalone. I had starting something of the like years ago, before abandoning it. But fall of 2019 I came across the old file, and it sparked a new tale of survival in a world killed. I broke the story down by chapters on paper in my downtime at work. It’s an experiment of the human condition, and the cost of living. I anticipating Kyra being really hated for the actions she’ll commit, but then again that means I’ve done what I wanted. This one is already being written. I’ll be formatting my character intros for this one soon.
As you can see, all are very different from one another. I find I get stuck or bored easily, so I like rotating, and this way I find focusing short term keeps me invested! In addition to writing, I’m fairly avid on Pinterest, where I keep boards to inspire me. If you are interested you can find the boards of my projects here. I’m active on both Tumblr and discord if anyone want to talk shop, or complain about disobedient characters.
