Her family is old, mage family. They deal in the darker magics - necromancy, hematomancy (blood-magic), they regularly traffick in bones and blood of other magical races (most times not ethically sourced). Her family is regarded with wariness and suspicion. It is said all the depraved acts they do has resulted in their blood becoming corrupted. Still, all agree that The Blumes are known to always keep their word and pay any debt they have.

- her uncle took control of the family in a violent coup. He sent her to a monastery to be learn magic

- he sees her as a pawn and knows if he doesn't pawn her off to someone soon. She'll overthrow him violently one day.

- she acts demure but is just as ruthless as her uncle. The only thing she wants is to stop looking over her shoulder.

- magic and her studies have been her own solace in all the death she's seen. Think traditional "evil" family and you have her family. Showed her death young, and had her kill and dissect to make her "desensitized" to the whole process of death.

- she is desensitized but had violent nightmares and wants to go to the spirit realm to know why her parents let her survive when they poisoned her other siblings. To keep them from her uncle's hands.

- she is observant, patient, and acerbiclly witty, she will flirt if that helps her, she will be whoever she needs to be to keep herself alive

- she wants to survive, to live her life on her own terms and not under someone's thumb
