okay hear me out:
plot where muse a is being haunted by a ghost, muse b, who is their ex, and while the relationship was fine when muse b was alive, now that they've become a ghost, and muse a is trying to move on with their life, things have gotten a little more toxic.
bonus points for: - only muse a can see muse b and interact with them (including possibly physically, perhaps there's some tactile interaction) - muse b is always there to make snide and snarky comments when muse a is at work or going out with friends or even potentially on dates - moments of existential pain when muse b opens up about feeling lonely and isolated.
and on and on and on.
A group of friends stay at what they thought was an Airbnb / vacation house for a weekend getaway turns into a nightmare. Where every time someone dies, they come back alive changed and haunted. Trapped in a cycle of endless death and resurrection, they must uncover the house’s secret before they lose themselves forever. (Spirits killing them) And when they try to leave they find themselves deeper into the house..new rooms and no way out?

Someone close to Muse A has vanished - their sibling, their partner, parent, friend, anything goes - and nobody but Muse A cares to figure out what happened. Nobody takes them seriously. Cue Muse B: The local baddie who has something to do with the disappearance of their loved one, whether they were directly involved or just know something. Muse A doesn't know that their loved one left a clue behind for them to put the puzzle pieces together and in order to not incriminate themselves and destroy the evidence of their involvement, Muse B tries to get close to Muse A.
They "team up" to find the missing person, but both have their own ulterior motives to follow: Muse A wants to follow the suspicion that Muse B knows more than they let on, Muse B tries to get their neck out of the rope. If this ends well for any of them is purely up to the chaos gods.

Various horror settings I need
I love horror so here is a list of some horror settings I would love to write in:
*disclaimer: many were inspired by movies, books, mangas, tv shows.
**also, feel free to reblog and add more, I’d always love more ideas for horror settings!
Stuck in a haunted place:
Could be a hotel they were unaware was haunted.
Could have moved in a new house/apartment that was haunted.
Rented a cabin in the woods that turned out to be haunted.
Went exploring a place they knew was haunted.
Inherited a place and it turned out to be haunted.
Apocalypse things leading to lawless situations:
Zombie apocalypse.
Post-nuclear war setting.
Environmental catastrophes.
An unknown virus wiped off most of the population.
Monster related:
An alien invasion.
Abducted by aliens.
Androids taking over.
Stuck in a forest with a monster hunting them(werewolf, wendigo, Bigfoot, anything really).
Haunted by possessed dolls.
Something similar to Jurassic Park.
Slasher related:
Sorority/fraternity being targeted by a serial killer.
Stumble in a small village and are hunted one by one.
A group of friends in any setting.
This can literally comes in any setting and I need it, maybe as a mumu.
Not really slasher, but something like the movie Us, when doppelgangers are trying to take over.
Misc situations:
Crashed/stranded on an island, and there’s something killing people off(animals, a tribe, some sort of monsters...).
I once had a roleplay where people were locked in an eerie basement and to escape, they had to go up the floors above them and they were filled with creatures that would turn into their worst nightmares. And even if it flopped, I still want that.
Something Until Dawn related, with both a monster and a killer on the lose.
Plot 169: Banshee
People tend to think that Muse A is strange. They’re a loner who always seems to be lost in thought, devoid of sleep, and red-eyed as if they’ve been crying for days on end. There are whispers about Muse A’s tragic past, but no ever dares to ask Muse A what really happened to them and Muse A is all too glad to be left alone. Since Muse A was young, they’ve suffered from this affliction, this uncanny ability to know when someone they care for is about to die. It starts with a deep, heart-wrenching sadness, then inconsolable sobbing and then a deafening wail that doesn’t cease until someone’s dead. Now, a little older and wiser about their condition, Muse A keeps to themselves, petrified to get close to anyone lest they accidentally bring death upon someone else. It isn’t until Muse B, someone new to town/someone unafraid of the stigma surrounding Muse A and quite into the macabre, does a little independent digging into Muse A’s past and a bit of ‘investigative following’ that they realize the truth. Muse A is a Banshee- a harbinger of death. Confronted with this information, Muse B attempts to appeal to Muse A to use their curse for good. Perhaps, working together, they can thwart death.
I really would love a small group plot that’s like Are You Afraid of the Dark, where these kids are all different and even have different presences and styles and different favorite sub genres, but love horror stories and movies and get together to like go see movies or tell stories or share their favorite horror comics. And just they’re all really good friends but only in secret? And then there could be a town mystery that’s like a horror movie and they try to figure it out together or something just, please.
