Endless plains. That's all Josephine had seen for the past three days so far. According to her map, she was in the realm of Rohan but it didn't feel like a kingdom, more like a vast wasteland. Francis, her faithful draft horse, snorted as she mounted him once more and continued on toward the dark mass on the horizon
After a few hours, she finally made it to something similar to civilization. It was city with many wooden buildings and horse themed banners, something her map called 'Edoras'. The city itself wasn't massive but she assumed that it would be a good place for shelter and supplies. Although the people were fine in the presence of a stranger, they remained distant, wary of the tall woman. She couldn't blame them though...
Approaching the stables, she noticed that none of the horses within it were draft, only quarter horses. Unwilling to put her Francis somewhere were he could be taken away, she looked around for someone to help her. Fortunately, a man was making his way to the stable, most likely to pick up his horse.
"Monsieur?" she asked him, accidentally slipping into her native language due to her worry.
