@maidenlothiriel
Hello everyone! Sorry for my absence. I just recently moved to a new location, and it was all very short notice, so I was rather busy helping out with the move and also didn't have any internet for a while. And then, these past five days, I went on vacation with my dad and we also didn't have any internet (worst five days of my life). But I am back now! I know I owe a few replied, so I shall get to those as soon as possible. Cheers! xx
Troy has fallen. Go.
The Battle of the Hornburg || Éomer & Lothíriel
He kissed her with all the power and passion and raw everything that he had left, a man broken with war and the fate of a country on his shoulders still able to love his princess with every atom of his being. The kiss ended shortly thereafter. “I can’t stay long," he insisted regretfully, “else I be accused of something lecherous. In the morning, I shall see you off, and…" He dared not think that this moment would be their one and only, but the soldier in him knew better. He would not survive this. The future he speaks of will not come to pass, and unlike Theodred, he will leave a woman to spend her life mourning him.
"Promise me you will stay safe."
She knew well the look in Éomer’s eyes when at last they had separated, for it was the very same her father had when she’d left Gondor for Rohan all that time ago. It was as though he was trying to memorise her, like he would never see her again. Lothíriel could not bear such a thought. “I will promise you that if you can promise me the same.”
So You're a Personal Blog That Follows an RP Blog...
That’s great! We really appreciate it! Every follower is precious to us, whether we play with you or not, so thank you for that! But lemme explain a couple of things that’ll make both our lives WAY easier…
Please don’t reblog my threads! It’s super cool that you think my thread is good enough to be on your blog in some way, but what that does is it makes it harder for me to track the people that are actually replying to my threads.
Don’t go on a liking spree of my posts! Every roleplay blog is famous in their own right and each day we sort through hundreds of notifications, and finding personal blogs liking all of our posts makes that way harder to do.
Don’t be afraid to send us an ask like we’re an ask blog! But don’t get crazy. We love getting asks, especially if we reblog an ask meme! I can’t speak for all of us, but I can say that learning about my character is probably the best part of roleplaying. If you’ve always had a question about my character, send it my way! We both might be surprised by the answer!
And really, that’s all we ask of you! Reblogging our threads is nice, but it messes up our notifications and makes tracking our threads harder! Thank you for the follow, though!
THANK YOU.
The Battle of the Hornburg || Éomer & Lothíriel
Éomer wrapped his arms tightly around her, their shared kiss a dangerous mix of what was, what could, and what might not be. Upon feeling the need to come up for air, the Marshal broke their lips apart and settled for resting his forehead against hers, breathing deeply with his hands rested at the backs of her shoulders.
"Marry me." His voice was low, eyes lifted and filled with grim and terrifying happiness. “Should I survive this war, I would have your hand, if you allow."
The princess now found it even more difficult to speak – it is rather a hard thing to do, after all, when one is both crying, trembling, and feeling as though their heart may burst – but finally she gave him her answer: “Yes. Yes!” she whispered, in her happiness throwing herself against him once more and kissing him with all she had. “Le annon veleth nín, Éomer.”

At her words, he looked into her eyes.
All he saw was pain. I will destroy that pain.
Eomer reached forward with a sudden rush of adrenaline, cupping her face in his hands and crashing his lips to hers in a heat of passion and emotional territory. He did not wait for her to reciprocate the movements; he knew where her heart lied, he knew where it had been all along, and he would not forsake her now.
Lothíriel could feel her flesh be set aflame where he touched, and there was an utter feeling of fiery ardour. She let out merely a sound- somewhere between a sob and sigh- in reaction before throwing her arms around him once more. And his kiss was like nothing she had ever experienced, desperate and so full of passion. Lothíriel knew full well this could be the only kiss she could give him, and for that she held on until she was breathless. This was where she was meant to be; it was so clear to her now.

"…me?" Éomer turned to face her, eyebrows raising, praying she didn’t mean what he thought she did.
"Princess, I would let you do anything you willed."
“Elbereth- you are clueless.“ Lothíriel rolled her eyes, crossing what remaining space had been between them so that she stood before him. “Look at me, Éomer- in my eyes, and tell me you would be truly happy would that I be bonded to another.”
The Battle of the Hornburg || Éomer & Lothíriel
She struck him when she traded his name for a simple, “my lord."
"…I was emotionally compromised, princess. The death of my cousin hindered me from acting of my own accord…" Éomer cleared his throat, unable to meet her eyes. "…and I seem to lose a bit of my mind whenever I am in your presence. Forgive me, my lady, I did not mean to offend you by my actions or what lies…deeper." The Marshal took a heavy breath, hoping to dismiss the subject. “I’m sure upon your return to Dol Amroth, you will live a long and healthy life with a husband and many children. You will make your people proud, and be safe away from the evil that spreads through our lands. I could not be happier for you."
“Offend me?” she repeated, hardly able to hear herself over the beating of her heart. Lothíriel shook her head, stepping closer to the Rohir with the intentions of meeting his eye once more. “You are a fool, my Lord, if you think I should find happiness in such a demure life. Perhaps before this day… I could have. I could have found joy in another life, forgotten the deeper desires of my youth. But you will not let me,” The princess had little idea where her boldness came from, but she cared little for anything other than Éomer at this moment.
The Battle of the Hornburg || Éomer & Lothíriel
No. Not just that.
"Aye, princess. I ride for Edoras when you depart for Gondor; two separate ways if you will." He brushed his fingers along the edge of a broken desk, ravaged by orcs the night before. He wondered how many men were slaughtered in this room, how many men lost their lives in a place where a princess was to sleep. "…The King has made me his heir," he stated lowly. “I am to rule Rohan, when time allows."
Lothíriel nodded, "Two separate ways." for tomorrow they were to be parted, perhaps forever. He would ride with his king and his men, and who knew whether or not he would ever return alive? She looked at him and there were so many things Lothíriel yearned to tell him, but suddenly, she could not find the words. "Long may you reign in the halls of your forefathers, Éo- my Lord."
The princess let a small silence fall between them, though spoke again before him. "Why did... why did you ignore me, my Lord? When we were in Edoras? Did I offend you in some manner?"
The Battle of the Hornburg || Éomer & Lothíriel
The Marshal bowed to her and entered, keeping his inner likings for her nighttime attire to himself. “My lady," he said, “I, uhm…I’ve heard you are to ride home to Gondor in the morning."
"Aye, to Minas Tirith and then Dol Amroth. My father no longer desires me to stay here," Lothíriel sighed, beckoning him to come into the room before continuing her speech, "It seems no one place is safer than the last now, and he would wish me now at home." She turned now to view him fully, observing his lack of armour and regarding it as unusual; she realised now how rarely she'd seen him without it on, and he seemed now smaller, more vulnerable. "Is that why you are here? To fare me well,"

~
The remainder of the day had not gone as Éomer had planned. The two were separated quickly, the princess to heal the wounded, and Éomer to help bring things back in order. A long and arduous day made the Marshal fit to collapse.
But there was one thing he had left to do before he dreamt for the night.
"My lady?" he asked, knocking softly at Lothiriel’s door. “It is Éomer. May I come in?"
The night had come more quickly than she’d imagined, her time being spent among the injured men, women, and children of Rohan. They had won the battle, aye, but it didn’t seem like a victory. These people had lost so much, and for what? Lothíriel now stood quietly by the window of her room at the refuge, watching the dark heavens and spotting Gil-Estel easily. There was Eärendil, sailing the night skies on his eternal mission to bring hope for Middle-earth. Was he looking from Vingilótë and seeing all the devastation of war?
Her thoughts were interrupted as a knock came, and when the voice addressed itself she walked quickly to the door. “Éomer,” she breathed as she opened the door, “Of course you may.”

The Battle of the Hornburg || Éomer & Lothíriel
Her words, “hush now", reminded him of his mother; graceful and beautiful and gentle, just as the princess of Gondor was. Éomer cleared his throat and attempted to regain some emotional ground. “Yes. Yes, I thought the same of you…" He took her hand in his and kissed the top of her knuckles. “And how I would wish to continue to speak of such things, but my banner needs me, for there are many men who’s wounds need tending. Would you come with me, my lady?"
A pout formed on her lips when he pulled from her embrace, and though she knew it was neither customary nor acceptable for such public displays of affection; she did not care. Lothíriel knew only that she wished not be parted from the man before her any longer, and while her feelings were a cauldron of mixed judgements and doubts, she decided to ignore them. “Aye.”
